Just returned from 11 nights in the Nubian Island hotel and had a great time. If you are looking for a quieter time ask for a room near the "quiet pool". Our room was right next to the main building and we could just walk out our patio door straight onto the pool. The room was a fair size and was kept spotless with clean towels every day and the bedding changed a couple of times during our stay. The food was good with plenty of choice and your drinks weren't restricted, you could get as many as you wanted. All the staff were great, especially George at the pool bar. If you don't want to be annoyed with people trying to sell you spa or diving deals ask the towel attendant for a "do not disturb" sign. Only drawback was the insects, my wife and I were covered in bites and the holiday rep said the only thing that was working was an injection which you could get in the pharmacy across the road for £10. Best £10 I've ever spent, bites stopped itching and no new ones. The hotel tries its best to keep the insects down and each night at sunset all the grounds are sprayed. I would definitely go back to the Nubian Island.
