Ive only just got around to writing a reveiw - I first stayed in royal rojana back in feburary 2008 school half term for one week with my boyfriend, we payed £420 each for the all inclusive stay and what a bargain that was - had a fantastic first time experience staying in egypt. There were only a few other english people in the hotel and we didnt mind this, to us the whole point of getting away is to experience different culture, so the fact that it was mainly russian guests in this hotel was ok and we didnt have any problems with it at all.
The food, and marine life down by the sea were the best parts to the holiday, there was also a small shopping centre in namama bay, a short taxi ride away - i wouldnt say much for the shops but thats just my personal taiste, however the few bars and two nightclubs there were good fun if you want to get out of your hotel. Overall the hotel was good, nice and clean, staff coulnt do enough for you, even tho they worked 18 hour days for a month then had a week off then did it all over again in the blistering heat - for a probable pitance for a wage. the hotel did have slopes and steps, so i would not recommend this for the elderly or disabled people, however that would depend on the individual.
I liked this hotel so much i booked up to go again with my mum auntie and sister in the october (2008) and again had another really good week there, nothing i could fault with it. This time tho we payed £600 per person, as this was the going rate for most of the hotels for that time of year.
I would defanitily recommend this hotel if your paying £500 or under for it especially if your going in the winter months of oct - march. you would be getting a good deal.
i would also recommend doing a boat day trip to sail around the red sea - its fantastic!!!
