“Sheer Luxury”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

We stayed at Baron Resort for 1week 21st-28th April for the first time and it will not be our last, it was simply luxury all the way. From rose water being sprayed on you whilst lying around the pool, sunglasses cleaned for you and cold rosewater flannels given out during the day around the pool and beach we felt well and truly spoilt. The hotel and beautiful grounds are immaculate, lawns and shrubs tended to daily. Every member of staff took pride in their work and went above their call of duty, our cleaner I think his name was Mahmued (room137) was one of the people I'd like to mention it happened to be my birthday whilst on holiday nothing was mentioned to anyone as I don't like too much attention I had taken family birthday cards with me and opened them in the morning after lunch we returned to the room and the bed was decorated with garlands, petals and a birthday cake and candle sculpted out of 5 towels amazing! later on a gateau and birthday card was delivered to the room from the management.
The rooms were large and spacious and nicely furnished, bed was a little hard but not enough to disturb your sleep, tea and coffee supplied, usual toiletries in the bathroom that had a large shower cubicle, water piping hot!
The food was very good at every restuarant we ate in, Italian,Indian and Barbecue and the main Sinai breakfast and buffet restaurant with a fantastic selection to choose from.
As mentioned before the staff and management are amazing and the General Manager a true gentleman whose enthusiasm to please has obviously influenced his staff.
But it is the little touches that make this hotel special from the bag of laundry
cleaned, ironed and delivered to you the same day, free haircut and massage and as already mentioned the little touches around the pool and beach. It is pure luxury.

Room Tip: We were upgraded to a seaview room on the ground floor, very quiet where we were. Room 137

This was our 12th visit to Egypt however it was our 1st visit to Barons resort and we certainly were not disappointed. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff whether it be the reception staff, bar staff or gardeners they all were pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.

We visited the main restaurant twice during our week stay as we enjoyed the option of the other restaurants, we did however tend to go the main restaurant at lunch time as my husband loved the pasta station! The Italian was wonderful the atmosphere was relaxed. The indian was wonderful lovely service and food. The Egyptian was wonderful we were not too sure what to expect as we have been to other Egyptian restaurants and have been previously disappointed but not this time, the service, staff and food was not to be missed.

The girls in the main bar area were lovely they spoke exceptional English and new how to treat their guests.

We used the laundry service which was a blessing and definitely something I would recommend.

We will return to the Baron as our experience was wonderful. Thank you

I stayed at the baron for 7 nights and I am actually quite dissapointed.
I thought by the reviews that it would be amazing. It is not.
It is very very clean, and the beach is lovely but that's about it.
The food is very bland, quite cold. The Indian restaurant was ok, but just ok.
You have to queue at 9am for a reservation to the a la carte restaurants, they only offer 3 time slots- 7/8/9pm, if you get there after 9.15am all the decent time slots have gone!
The rooms were ok, abit small.
The staff try to be extra friendly, but I just this quite irritating as they would keep on asking if everything was ok whilst you were eating- once or twice would be ok, but it could be up to 6 times per meal and it felt like you were being pestered.
I would not reccomend this if you are looking for an amazing wow holiday. It is just nice, nothing special. I would not ever return.

Will be leaving the Baron Resort at 6 pm tomorrow after a two week stay with my husband. our holiday has been excellent. The hotel staff across all departments including the gardeners take customer service to another level and can't do enough for you. Pool and beach are immaculate as are all areas of the hotel as everywhere is constantly being looked after and cleaned. We ate mostly in the a la cartes and all were excellent and the food of a high standard. Free massage, laundry etc with the all inclusive package were extras we'd not experienced before and we wish all hotels could follow the Baron's lead. We stayed in room 240 with a garden view. Room was very nice but next time we'll go for a room with a sea view as the views are tremendous. Hope to be back soon.

Had a wonderful relaxing time at the Baron Resort. It was our first experience of 'all inclusive' but we really enjoyed everything. The different restaurants are all good, our favourite was the Egyptian Restaurant for the great atmosphere but all of them served fabulous food. We spent every day on the beach ( this was a 7 day chill out holiday ) and Karim made sure we had plenty of drinks throughout the day, he was so friendly and remembered what we liked to drink. We have to also mention Shadey at the Palm Beach bar who made great cocktails with a lovely smile. The buffet restaurant gave such a wide choice of food it was difficult to decide where to go and what to eat each night. Eihab gets a special mention for making sure our coffee was refilled every morning. We stayed in room 349 which was a brilliant location with a sea view, well worth the upgrade and the cleaner, I wish I remembered his name, made sure we were happy with the cleaning of our room. The massage and laundry service also deserve a mention - wish I had someone to do my laundry at home. Ibrahim deserves a mention too from Beauty Within 'shine bright like a diamond' his interpretation of different British accents was hilarious and we loved listening to him taking off our Mancunian accent. He sold us a facial after some good bartering and we were not disappointed it was so relaxing and then a close shave for my other half which he loved. We will be back as this was the most relaxing and pampered time we have every had. Keep up the good work Baron Resort.

This was our 3rd time at the Baron and I think my past reviews and the other reviews on here say it all so I'm going to use this to say thank you instead! And that thank you needs to go to every member of staff as every one of them works incredibly hard around the clock to make sure everyone has an incredible holiday. From the cleaners and gardeners right through to the General Manager, 100% effort is given by all staff at all times.

Special thanks to our poolside grill friends Ali, Mohamed, Ahmed, Abdillah, Rabie and Karem. We loved seeing you every lunch time - missing you all already.

Thank you to Abdel who worked very hard to make sure we were well looked after all throughout our holiday.

In the Sinai - thanks to Nadil Head Waiter (Clark Kent). Always made us laugh in the morning with your Cockney rhyming slang!

In the Italian thank you to Omar - you run a fantastic team of staff and serve delicious food. Thank you for making my 40th one to remember and our last night very special for us all.

Karim in the beach bar. Thank you so much for all the Cuba libras!!!!!! What a brilliant man you are - we wish you all the very best with your wedding x

Mohamed in the lobby bar - super service. My husband enjoyed his morning chats with you every day.

Ahmed in the lobby bar - thank you for looking after us every evening. We enjoyed our chats and our tour of the hotel!!!!

Sara and Miriam - great chats and thank you for looking after our boys!

The cleaner who cleans the toilets near the salt water pool (sorry I didn't get your name). What a lovely guy who tries to chat every day despite finding it difficult with the language. Thank you for all your hard work keeping everything so beautiful and clean.

Finally, the food and beverage manager Mohamed and the General manager - we can't thank you enough. As always we had the most amazing holiday.

I'm sure I've forgotten someone - so hard as everybody at the resort is amazing. This is also a hotel where you meet lots of new friends because everyone there is so happy and full of praise for everything (unlike some hotels where all everyone does is moan!!!).

Love the place and all the staff and will definitely return. If you are booked to go you will enjoy every minute!!!!

Thank you again, The Kelly family and the Binns family (or as we were known 'the happy family').

Room Tip: If you get a hard bed ask for 1 or 2 mattress toppers to soften things up! Sea view well worth the...

Its not often you get to write a review for a hotel that is absolutely faultless. I cant think of anything they need to improve upon. I stayed here over Easter 2014 with my 81 year old disabled mother and Teenage daughter, we had a ground floor pool/ garden view room.Rooms on the front facing the beach and pool all have great views, at the back the view is of anotehr hotel/ the road and not so nice. Every member of staff we met was fabulous, everyone was happy and friendly and my mum got extra special treatment- she said they made her feel like royalty. My daughter did a PADI 3 day course at the hotels Sinai divers club and got 1:1 tuition with a lovely German girl who spoke perfect English. There were loads of activites and things to do for the teenagers at the hotel too. In the evening there was always live music if you wanted it with an excellent pianist in the lobby bar and either a singer/ guitarist duo or single guitarist playing mellow music at the seafood restaurant / pool bar, the beach bar just had standard music but nothing loud or annoying, there is a dance bar/ disco at the Baron palms if you like that. You cant eat or drink for free in the Baron Palms but theat wasnt a problem as the Baron reort is so much better with plenty of choice. The main buffet is huge but managed to avoid feeling like a cafeteria, the presentation of the buffet at any meal was always gorgeous and every night has soft lighting and different themes. Plus there is no clattering of plates and cutlery that happens in some large dining rooms as the staff clear the plates to the kitchen as you would in a restaurant elsewhere. The food in every restaurant was perfectly cooked and presented, and as its all inclusive if you didnt like what you had ordered you can just order a different dish. We sampled each restaurant - they were all very good and would equal good restaurants in the UK for food and service. The hotel has lifts and is all on one level so perfect for people with limited mobility or prams. The hotel is right on a beautiful sandy beach and the pool is enormous. It has lots of space around the pool so the sunbeds are not lined up next to your neighbours and there is plenty of shade and spare sunbeds so its not necesary to get up at 6 am to put out towels. They have very friendly barmen who are happy to bring you a drink to your sunbed and pool attendents who will come an set up your umbrellas. There are shops about 100 metres away. and the evening entertainment is mainly at the Baron Palms next door in their ampitheatre. The professional shows were very good( belly dancer and traditional twirly skirt dancing men/ chinese circus act/Fakir- bed of nails, fire eating etc.)Tipping is not expected and you dont need to pay for anything more than the brochure cost of your holiday. room safe, minibar and tv etc are all included. The whole resort is spotlessly clean and the spa facilites were of the standard you get at home.I had a great Thai massage by a Thai lady, there is also a smart gym with all the modern machines if you like that. There was staff who made the sand pretty on the beach by smoothing it at the end of each day. Every day staff hand out lemon scented cold flannels at around 11 am and another employee comes around the pool asking if you want him to clean your sunglasses- again all free. There were many other little touches that made the hotel stand out- drummers, drinks and flower garlands when you arrive and the drummers again plus the staff all lining up to wave when the bus pulls out when you arrive My only complaint is there wasnt an employee paid to apply my suncream to my back for me!

Room Tip: If you cant decide on Baron Palms or Baron resort Definitely go for the Resort, its worth the extra...
