Upon arrival we were met by unfriendly reception staff and taken to our room which was very nice and spacious. The hotel was very nice and clean and all the staff were amazing(with exception of the reception).
The food was very good and varied and always plenty of it, The drinks on the other hand is a different story, the bars are only free at certain times and you find yourself having to move around to get your drinks or pay for them, this is not what i call all-inclusive.
Then comes the entertainment staff-all very nice but most of it is done in italian for the italians, one man was told to get off the table tennis table by a entertainment guy because it was the italians.
There is nothing to do in the evenings the entertainment is very poor they say there is a night club it is just a room that you sit in a circle and watch dodgy shows.
All in all it was a nice stay but the lack of english and entertainment made it a bit boring.
I must say again the staff are amazing andextremely friendly they made the holiday more enjoyable. karen

Very nice place, just right if you want to just relax, the beach is not up to much, you have to walk down a jetty if you want to snorkle / swin in the sea. ( the fish are fantastic ). There is a slant towards the Italians but saying that this is an international resort, the service is very good the staff are very friendly, the amenities very clean, the grounds are well kept, the food looks very good and plenty to choose from, the only problem we had 6 out of our 10 days we had very bad tummy problems, Imodium was no good, we both had to have medication from the pharmacy ( anti biotics and this ment we could not drink any alcohol )lots of other guest also had simular problems. This was suposed to be all inclusive however the only drinking water provided was from the bars and only dispenced in small plastic cups, no drinking water provided in your room and you were not allowed to refill your own bottles ( if you want water in you room you have to purchase it from the small shop on the resort ) i did complain about this and was told the shop is open all the time ( It's not ). one final comment is at night they seem to water the grounds with what can only be discribed as the toilet water ( very bad smell ). Shores Amphoras has all the ingreedents of being a realy good place if they just concentrated more on hygeene, i do not go on holiday to end up staying near to the toilet.

We had a nice holiday, the hotel itself is lovely, the facilities are good and it's generally very clean, the downsides are the food and drink, the food gave me an upset stomach the whole 11 days of our stay but this may be just the egyptian way of cooking as i've heard it's common in egypt, take some imodium you will need it!! The food was 'ok' but not great, LOTS of pasta which becomes very boring!! Although they did have a good variety of salads to choose from, it was just quite bland and not to the standard of previous all inclusive i've stayed in, the drinks were dissapointing, the wine in the main restaurant was ok but in the other bars it was awfull and could not drink it...it was that bad!! The beer tasted very weak and would never get you drunk!! On previous all inclusive holidays we were offered cocktails/smoothies to drink but this hotel is very tight with what they offer (and stop serving at 11pm!) The hotel is very much for the italians but they do have the 'animation team' for other nationalities, however the italian entertainment sounded amazing and we certainly had the bum deal!! All in all it was ok for the money we payed and we enjoyed our holiday but i wouldn't go back and my stomach is still recovering a week after my holiday!!

Shores Amphoras is a lovely hotel well maintained with a lovely sea view. The bar staff especially in the Cabana bar are very friendly and the rooms are kept very clean by the cleaners. The downside of this hotel if your an English tourist is that the majority of guests are Italian so the hotel doesn't cater very much for English. We travelled with a 12 year old who unfortunately only found one other English child to play with and for most of the holiday had to make the most of playing on his own. The main downside of this hotel is that the food lets it down. The meals are very repetative & often not too warm. If u like pasta 7 days a week you might be alright but as with probably most hotels in Egypt take plenty of crisps and immodium!

This hotel was very clean and the staff very obliging and could not do enough for you, the room are agood size ,the food was passable you have to be very picky to go hungry, the drinks won't get you drunk but the wine was tasty ,i think it was mainly for the itialian normal load but just having a good time ,the bad points we had tummy trouble but you can get that in this country, the entertainment teams did not work together in the day,and last a lot of confusion with the front desk when checking out about shower rooms etc.
would we stay at this hotel again YES

Stayed at Shores Amphoras for one week at the end of July. We went all inclusive which was a very good idea. The hotel was kept clean and the staff were very efficent. The pool areas were clean and tidy with plenty of complimentry water, great idea as it was so hot.
The poolside staff were friendly especially Sabir the towel man. The rooms were quite modern and kept clean and tidy by the maids (we had our bath towels made into swans with fresh flowers scattered around them, nice touch). The bars had nice staff but the local gin, vodka, and wine were awful, i stuck to beer which i dont normally drink but that was nice. The bars had a drinks machine which was free and you could have as much fanta, coke etc as you wanted. Now for the restaurant well the food was FANTASTIC with a wide variety of fresh delicious food. Don't be afraid to have the fruit or the salads as we had these every day with no upset tummy. The wine in the restaurant was quite nice unlike the wine from the pool bars. The Chefs were immaculate and took great pride in their food displays. The Waiters were great, always happy (considering all the hard work they do) and loved us Brits. Only one thing we were not happy with and that was the VERY RUDE ITALIANS it seemed that the hotel was full of them, we only met approx 16 Brits. The Italians rush for the food and nearly knock you over trying to fill their plates you just have to get your elbows out (only joking, well??) One more thing the dive centre (Grand Blue) is run by Italians, we booked to go on a 1/2 day snorkelling trip Cost £24 Our boat was full of Italians who were not the least bit friendly but the snorkelling was great. Staff in dive centre MISERABLE and i am used to dive centres where staff have been so friendly. There was a free shuttle bus that took you into Nama Bay which ran twice a day. It took us 15 minutes taxi ride to the airport. The gym was modern and the spa great, massage 50 mins cost £24 and was FANTASTIC. Hope this info helps you.
