The hotel is based in the centre opposite the main shopping precinct. About a 5 minute stroll from Emperor divers. Good food, a nice room although it was in the back of beyond, bit of a trek to say the least. Offer the hotel reception 50 dollars, they will put you in the main block, they will ask for $70. I would go there again, in fact probably am next May.

We have recently returned from an amazing two weeks at tropitel! would definitely reccommend it. there's a few cracks on the bathroom tiles that you have to look past but apart from that our room was always clean. tip the housekeeper and you'll even get some towel art. Food was good..If youre going on holiday to a different country then you need to understand that different cultures cook food differently..its all part of the holiday!! we tipped one of the waiters and had our drinks refilled before we'd even finished the last so was worth it. We tried out the three main pools and loved the slides..spent alot of time at the semi-olympic pool too which was a lot quieter and more chilled but if you want some entertainment then the head for the slides. We went quad biking through the sinai desert and mountains which was a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend it!

This was our first trip to Sharm-El-Sheik, and my husband found the Tropitel on the Internet. We read all the reviews and were quite pleased with what we saw.

Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. It was cleaned every day, and always well stocked with toiletries, towels etc.

The food was excellent and there was always plenty to choose from whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner.

All the staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful.

My husband was unwell on the fourth day of our 2 weeks stay so we went to The Clinic in the hotel. Peter called the doctor and we were taken by taxi to The Clinic in Delta Sharm. I am glad to say that he made a full recovery, thanks to the treatment he received from Dr Ashraf Samy.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the Tropitel for making our stay there so memorable.

Ok where do i start.... Me,the missus and our 14 year old have just come bk from this hotel 19/07/10,we read the bad reviews before we went and like others we were worried..... and after comming home we all agree that we wish we booked a different hotel. The food is shocking and you are treated like you are in the cattle market scrambling for food. The hotel really isn't that clean and the staff are all perverts. I even caught 1 member of staff cleaning his privert parts in the public toilet sink in the middle of the day.Not what you want your kids to see!!!!! I myself along with at least 1 member of 3 other families that we met up with was very ill, for more than 24 hours we were laid up in our rooms unable to move. If you go all inclusive and want a bottle of water you still have to pay for it and at 40 degrees you can imagine how much you go through. There is a resturant that is better than the main one but if your elderly or in a wheelchair you can forget about going as it is up aload of stairs and then up the hill.A fair distance from the main lobby. The pools are good but don't drink the cups of water that they give you as my partner watched one of the staff filling the bottles with tap water and putting it in the fridge ready to serve you with. The entertainment was rubbish, It didn't start till around 10 and only stayed on for around an hour. The drinks in the reception bar are not free untill night time so you have to go to the pool bar to get your drink and then go bk. When we went to the welcome meeting our rep said something that stuck in my mind and sums up the hols.....he said and i quote ' Everything in sharm is fake,Even the Egyptians'. And he was an egyptian....To sum up,pick a different hotel and enjoy sharm because sharm has indeed got alot of good points.

This was our 4th trip to Sharm and it gets better each time, it is not like spain, so don't go expecting that. You do have to haggle, but that's part of the holiday ??

The Tropitel is slap bang in the centre of Naama, even though you go all inclusive, it's nice to get out at night and have a look around. There is a TGI's, KFC, Mcdonald's, Pizza Hut, and many other places to eat. We have found it cheaper than home, but over the last 4 yrs prices have increased but not by much. Taxi's are cheap, but haggle before you go anywhere.

Top Tip 1.. always 1/2 the price they give you .. ie £30 egypt pounds over 15 then meet in the middle. Don't worry about walking away, if they want your money they will shout you back, if not someone else will do it for you. If you are a smoker, don't get your cigs from eygpt, they are made locally and look the same but don't taste the same, even if they say very good price, originall... asda price, cheap as chips, just walk away. They are cheap enough on the plane or airport.
Top Tip 2.. just take about £50 worth of egytian pounds, you get a lot more for your pound changing locally !! they have cash machines, you pop in your ££££ and out pops eygptian money at a good rate. Don't forget to wash hands after handling Egyptian money as very dirty, this is where tummy bugs start.
Top Tip 3 .. take a bag of pound coins (£20), you can use this to tip, they don't earn alot so tipping is good, you will find you will spend the £20 but whats that over 2 wks ?? just leave £2 for maid on day 1, then again on Day 4, and they will look after you. Same with the pool man £2 day 1 show where you want your beds and hey presto every day you will be sorted. They may even bring you a drink !!!
The hotel is a bit dated on the front and the animation team work very well, they a mulit lingual and the entertainmant is a bit long winded, but he russian's and eastern europeans love it !! Yes there a few, a bit rude, but we just keep to ourselves and let them get on with it !
We stayed up in the new block room 933, they are lovely and big, we had 3 double beds ( never did find out where the 4th bed was ) that was for me, hubby and 2 boys 9 & 6.

As i said we have been 4 times and none of us have had tummy probs, and i don't watch everything we do and eat ... if it does happen go to the chemist, there tablets will work for you.
Any questions, i'd be happy to help ! I used to work in travel.

I too read all the reviews and was a little worried when I booked. I needn't have stressed!. We arrived after an 8 hr delay to very friendly helpful staff, lovely spacious clean room. We too were lucky to be in the resort area of the complex and found the pools very clean, the staff very helpful and pleasant and there was never a problem getting a sunbed whatever time you arrived at the pool. The executive restaurant was fantastic, the food was great, always much to choose from and the staff became like friends, we were sorry to leave them. We all suffered with the stomach cramps etc, but took the advice of others and went to the pharmacy outside the hotel and purchased tablets which definitely helped. Can't say why we suffered as the food and hygiene etc were great. We didnt let it ruin our holiday!. We booked through Qwerty travel and had the services of a You travel rep 'Sayed' who was great. Nothing was too much trouble and getting a visa to enable us to travel to cairo just took a day. So don't be pressured into buying one at the airport as soon as you arrive. The Boys loved this holiday, especially water slides and water polo, we had a relaxing enjoyable holiday. I would say that maybe if we had been placed in the main hotel complex, I might not have felt the same, as this is so much busier in the restaurant and noisier as nearer the town. I didn't enjoy going into the main town, it was very hot and we were pressured into buying. The Pyramids are worth seeing, Cairo was not the romantic Nile I imagined, but more like slumdog millionaire! Would love to return again, but would request the resort area and not main hotel as more peaceful.

checked in with no problem at all,we were told that we were allocated a nice room(we previously emailed the hotel) we were taken to the top of the complex (block 900 the executive block) to be very pleasntly surprised, lovely room with a great view of the pool and the sea ! (room 946) well worth the 5min walk from main hotel in both of our opinions - food looked great but my partner had stomach cramps and the obvious 1 day later, then i had the same which somewhat spoilt our holiday as it stayed with us throughout the rest of the holiday (1 week) cant pin point what it was though.just used the pharmacy outside the hotel, they know exactly what to give you as it seems commonplace, just make sure they dont rip you off ! hotel was nice and clean.i would say our room was 4* but cannot say about the main part of hotel as it is older.we only used the top pool(close to our room)which was clean and temp was great and not busy at all really :) when we did eat mainly used the exec restaurant which again wasnt that busy and good choice.used the main restaurant just once which was a bit like a convayer belt, very busy but again good choice of food.staff in general were pleasant but left 3 messages at reception for our rep which he didnt get.we booked through qwerty travel but our rep was you travel who was very helpfull and no problem with all transfers.would recomend star gazing, quad biking and snorkeling.if you dont like being bugged into going into shops and bars and trying to be charged top money(you really do have to barter) it may not be for you but if you dont mind that sort of thing you will get a bargin! lol. i hope someone does find this helpfull because i did read a lot of reports before we went.
