We've just returned to the UK after two weeks at the Reef Oasis Blue Bay resort where we had an absolutely fantastic holiday - there are so many good things to say about this hotel (and I will cover these off later) but the real star of this hotel is the staff, they simply can't do enough for you and really do go the extra mile. They're all so good but a special mention must go out to Ahmed in the Fishermans who looked after us so well at breakfast and on the occasions we ate in the restaurant in the evening, to Ali & Ahmed who looked after us by the adult relax pool when serving us drinks and looking after us on the sun beds and to Reda in the Al Dente restaurant for looking after us and arranging my partners birthday celebrations.

In terms of other things:

The rooms

We upgraded to a deluxe room (4215) - it was worth it for the location by the adult pool, access to the Fishermans for breakfast (where you get freshly squeezed orange juice by the glass and smoked salmon to name but a few) and you even get a free bag of laundry done for you to save worrying when you get home (all ironed and pressed for you)

The food

I know many people have said the food here is not great and they are entitled to their opinion but honestly the food was superb - the quality and selection in the main buffet restaurant is fantastic, the local delights served in Kebagi are wonderful and then you get the fresh seafood in the Fishermans and the fabulous menu in the Al Dente Italian - my personal favourite (within the all inclusive) was Al Dente but my partner preferred the Fishermans. You will find that not all food on the menu in both of these restaurants is all inclusive but you don't need to spend any additional money unless you want to as there is plenty to choose from on the menu.

There is also the French Restaurant (Le Romantique) that is not included in the AI but if you're celebrating something special or you want more of a fine dining experience I would recommend it - the food is excellent

The bars

There is so much choice here you'll never get bored or thirsty as there are bars everywhere - you even have access to food and drink 24 hours a day at the Caribbean bar!

The Adult relax pool

There are a number of pools to choose from but our favourite was the Adult relax pool, the atmosphere here is superb and the service is amazing - your towel and sunbed pillows will be taken to your bed and laid out for you, you'll get sprayed with cold water and given cold towels to cool you down during the day & they'll even clean your sunglasses for you - all of this of course is rounded off by drinks being bought to your sun bed all day!

We can't speak highly enough about this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to return again in the future (I haven't said this about many hotels before)

Just a couple of other points to note - if you're susceptible to mosquito bites make sure you take some form of anti bite spray and cream (you can also ask for a plug in for your room) as they are about in abundance.

Secondly, if you're diving in Sharm - whilst there is a dive site at the hotel I personally recommend using the ocean college dive centre as they are fantastic (see seperate review)

We have just arrived home this morning from this fantastic 5star hotel ..
Were do I start we stayed in room 6105 delux room and was welcomed with fruit and water on arrival .
We cannot express how thankful we are to all the staff so many to name Saad and Eslam from the infinity pool thankyou for every thing around the pool which made our day great ice cold flannels spraying water to cool us down you guys are great .
The pool bar staff for constantly bringing drinks to us through out the day .
The guys in the carribean and the pub for great service the bay view staff for your service at meal times our cleaner also just everyone there thankyou use guys work so hard and its Ramadan and we admire everything you done for us in the heat at this extremely hard time for use guys you kept smiling and working hard thankyou fir a fantastic holiday and we hope to see use guys again soon we shall be returning. .
Anyone reading this review book this hotel immediately it was our first time to Egypt and we shall be returning back to this hotel .Thankyou all so much xxxx

Feel I have to put this in writing. Arrived back here last night, 4th stay in 4 years & it's great to be back. BUT, Sam, the first person who helped me 4 years ago & has brightened my holiday every year since, is leaving. TOTALLY GUTTED, he is worth his weight in gold. He is such a good man, kind, friendly & so so helpful. Am going to miss him loads, he has been such an asset to the ROBB. He'll be a real loss in my humble opinion!

this was our visit no six we had a great time just relaxing, food in the fishermans, italian, and kebaji was as ever a good standard if not better than last visit, the bay was excellent, i am pleased to see the entertainment has improved no end with singers and musicians this has always been a bug bear of mine that there was not much going on at night its great now keep it up:) thanks to all the staff they really make the holiday, ayman the drinks and beverages manager looked after us very well and little mo at the relax pool. room was spotless and snorkeling was great what more do you need for a great holiday thanks.

I am still staying at the ROBB - my first week complete and 1 more to go. Feel the need to say I'm not sure what more people expect for the money paid.... This is an excellent hotel, the staff can't do enough for you, giving your name once they remember it and come round routinely with drinks before being asked! Yes sometimes service a little slower but this is Ramandan - I couldn't function on nothing to eat/drink from 4am till 7pm not even water so give them a break! Yes there are extras outside the AI BUT the choice is so much you can't possibly struggle to find something. Personally think the ROBB and all it's staff go out of their way to make things great.. Down to the cleaners with their towel art to the grounds men who are out making the areas beautiful - not a pot hole in sight! Come to the ROBB it's amazing value for money compared with other destinations.. One thing do ask for a free insect repellant plug in as the mozzie's are horrendous even though they spray every morning.. Fantastic place these people deserve to be at the top!

We very much appreciate your supportive comments and we are delighted that you are enjoying your stay with us. This is indeed the Holy Month of Ramadan where the huge majority of our staff will be fasting from dawn till dusk but we love this time of year and it is a wonderful celebration for us every night so it is not such a hardship as you suggest. We still ensure that the guests have everything they want as this is also a time of generosity and giving for us.

Sharm does get a few mosquitoes from time to time and during this period you can request free plug-in repellants for the rooms. It is also advisable to cover arms and legs during the sunset hours and use a good spray repellant like the one sold in the orange tin. We do fumigate the resort twice a day during these periods but it’s best to be on the safe side and take a few precautions yourself as well.

Me and my husband stayed for 1 week June 25th with out the kids so it was very enjoyable but you have to pay for spa which is obvious but for fresh orange juice etc its £2 in English money also for water melons, room service which is basically the same stuff from the Caribbean bar! It's only little extras but it all adds up at the end of the holiday especially when you pay for all inclusive. Service is slow we was not once asked around the pool if we would like drinks, as others were! It is all males that work in this hotel apart from around 7 woman and out of around 100 workers is not a lot. I wouldn't recommend this holiday knor would I revisit!!!

Dear Emma,

Thank you for mentioning this “lovely place” in the title of your review and for choosing the ROBB for your family holiday.

‘All-inclusive’ is a term, like B&B, Half Board or Full Board, used by hotels to describe a concept and you will find very few hotels in the world where absolutely everything is included. We are able provide a high quality holiday at a very good price for our valued guests. However, we like to offer the option of extra services or products which we cannot include in the all-inclusive concept but this is very much a personal choice and you can certainly have a wonderful holiday without putting your hand in your pocket at all.

We do offer a drinks service around the pool and if you would like the waiter to drop by from time to time just catch his eye and he will be happy to take your order. There are plenty of female staff working in the key areas of the Front Office, the Spa and Animation but you will find all over Sharm that more men than women are prepared to leave their homes and travel to Sharm to work. And I can assure you that the men can look after our guests just as well as the ladies!

We welcome your review as it has given us the opportunity to clarify a few points and I do hope that perhaps we will see you again in the not-too-distant future.

I have travelled many places in my time ,but never have I been made to feel so special,as at the ROBB,from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.
From the gardners ,the cleaners ,the pool staff,the restaurant staff,right up to top management,nothing was too much for them.
If you find it difficult to walk,dont worry ,golf buggies available to get you to your rooms,if you cant find what you want to eat,no problem,the great chef will help you ,and accomadate ,.my husband doesn't like sauces on food,so we spoke to the chef,no problem he said ,would you like plain chicken breast? cooked it special for him.the rooms are great,spacious,and kept spotless.I could go on and on,but ,believe me when I say,this was a first class holiday,we took two trips ,one to cairo,and one to luxor,what an experience,and also went on the glass bottomed boat ,saw some wonderful coral and fish,also two scuba divers,,,who waved, I cannot think of one negative comment,many many thanks to you all for such a wonderful 2 weeks,FIRST CLASS XX pat and pete kendall,15th june till 29 june 2014.
