Our sole purpose for visiting Sharm was to notch up some dives prior to a more demanding trip on a liveabord later this summer.
We contacted Elite Divers, who are a very friendly, experienced, family orientated dive centre, situtaed within the grounds of the hotel. Elite is run by Moyra and Alun who organised the room, airport transfers, dive boat, free taxi to the boat each day, kit etc etc.
The hotel is compettively priced and you get what you pay for. If, as with us, your main purpose is to dive, the combination of Coral Hills and Elite is ideal.
Our kids are 17 and 19 and were quite happy with a quick meal and a drink at Il Mercato (which is a brand new retail centre - Starbucks / Pizza Hut / McDs/ clothes shops bars restaurants etc etc)
We had a great time and will no doubt return soon!!

Stayed here for a few days over the past week and we must admit we found it a grand little hotel with everything you need. Great value for money for only $60 a night. Had clean pools, had a clean room, sunbeds were easy enough to get and breakfast was edible and what you would expect for the money. Its not the Hilton or the Marriot but you are paying prices which are a quarter of that type of hotel! The cleaning staff even made us a love heart out of towels one day and a swan the next all covered in flowers!!! Bonus! All in all a good clean safe hotel. Reading the negative reviews of the place I wonder what some people expect for the money. Yes the music is annoying but it isn't on all the time and is no worse than what you get in every other bar and beach in sharm. Dodgy music.... Enjoy.

Good value for money hotel. Rooms very reasonable and cleaned daily. Fresh towels provided daily. Do not go all inclusive, we only had breakfast, this is the best way. Helpful staff. We had our eight month old daughter with us, they provided cot. 2 nice pools. Some evening they had a show with belly dancer or folklore dancers. Music is played between probably 7pm til 11pm. We had a really good local guide, who ensured we didn't get ripped off. For example cairo trip for £32, whereas some people pay £75 for exact same trip. Also he got us a good deal on parasailing. If you would like his details contact me by email q.younis@nhs.net

I stayed for a week over Easter 2010 and continued to be pleased as the days went by. Booked online through booking.com for $35/night in a single room with refrigerator, safe, satellite TV and a view of the pool. The room was clean and was kept that way by the courteous room staff who did daily linen changes and provided new towels as needed. My only complaint was the sometimes too loud music in the pool area that could be lowered by a call to reception.
The breakfast was adequate with a few new choices rotated in daily.
The grounds were well maintained and the 2 large pools, one for families and another for adults located in a quiet area, were clean and free towels provided
It was a short walk to local mini supermarkets, stores and a new mall (Merkato). There was daily free shuttle service to a beach near the old city as well as nightly runs to Naama Bay. Dive tours were run from the hotel with equipment rental. There were a mix of British, Italian and Russian tourists during my stay. Looked at a few other 3 star resorts and found the neighboring Dive Inn to look good while others charged more, were older and in need of attention.

I was a member of a group of 4 people in Sharm for the 3rd time to dive with Alun and Moyra from Elite diving, after reading the reviews I was a little wary of the Coral Hills. I was reassured from Elite not to be concerned, however make my mind up when I got there. I will speak as our group found the hotel. On arrival, the hotel reception staff were very helpful, and actually suggested a room configuration change that suited everyone, at no extra cost. Good start. The following mornings breakfast experience was fine, considering, that this hotel has to try and cater for the tastes of all nationalities. The evenings were fine, and only being a 20LE taxi ride from Naama Bay, we had the best of both worlds. Il Mercato at the back of the hotel, offers a selection of restaurantsand coffee shops if you dont want to travel to Naama. The bed quality was fine, room size was fine, and overall cleanliness was fine. The hotel is showing signs of wear/age, but arnt we all!!.
So overall, this is a good value hotel, which is well situated, and if you are divers, you have one of best dive operations within the Hotel. Will we use again?, without a dought. However please bear in mind, that this hotel doesnt charge very much, and in life you do very much get what you pay for.
