People are saying that this hotel is rubbish but let me say they are talking rubbish. We have just come back from Aqua park a week ago now and i have already booked to go back next year it was that good and i never like to visit the same place twice. The place itself is absolutley fab and you couldn't ask for anything more to do. The water slides are amazing and the life guards have a laugh with you. The rooms were cleaned every day and after tipping the cleaners 5LE everyday we had huge animals made out of towles on our bed. The animation team were great and made time for everybody even the oldies. Mario and Tommy never seemed to stop. The evening entertainment was good although it did only last until half ten but there is a night club for the olders ones in the resort. The food was great and there was theme nights for the food so there was something different every night. Altogeather we all had a fab time and would advise anybody to visit this hotel if you want to go to egypt. It was the best holiday ever and we carn't wait to return next year.

Some have written that they did not like it - but then they shouldn't have chosen to stay at a water park. I came back absolutely exhausted because it was so good; and my boys would not leave me in peace. The rides are great - but there is an unenforced age limit of 10 for the big rides. My youngest is 9 and had no problems but some small 5 year olds (with parents) were not allowed on...
The food is adequate...
The staff are helpful and eager the please - esp. the room cleaners.
The TV is useless, but we took (always do) our in-car DVD player with TV leads and used that.
Trips out: Cairo - expensive but value for money, but please DO buy from the street hawkers - they are not out to rip you off (!) and enjoy a haggle...
Glass - bottom boat - useless, only to be used if no other alternative available
Snorkelling trips to Tiran and the lagoon - great.
All in all a great place to go and play.
Would I go again - probably not but only becuase there are many other good places to visit first...

I stayed at Aqua Blu Sharm for a week in October with my two children aged 12 and 13. The hotel was lovely and clean, plenty for the children to do, apart from perhaps in the evening when the entertainment was a bit hit and miss, but the staff did try really hard to keep everyone entertained. The food was good, but like most all-inclusive holidays, you do get a bit fed up by the end of the week, but the food was always cooked and presented beautifully. The water park is excellent, it was never packed and we always had access to the inflatables and mats that were needed for the slides. The lifeguards were very fair if anyone tried to hog them. We went to the beach near the sister hotel, which is lovely, great snorkelling if you turn left at the bottom of the lift, the all-inclusive bar on the beach is to the right of the lift. We also went on a boat trip to do some snorkelling which was excellent and really made our holiday. I would recommend Aqua Blu Sharm as a great place to stay.

Food Poisoning, Bad hygiene and Bad Service

AVOID - Bad Service Food Poisoning

We recently returned from Aqua Blu on 01 August 2009. Please note this is not our first visit to Sharm but it is to the Aqua Blu resort.

The resort itself in terms of the water park is nice and the kinds will enjoy it. There is however a number of very bad issues that I would like to point out

1.
We were travelling in a party of 14 (10 adults, 4 children). On our return home over half of us had the most serve stomach cramps and diarrhoea, some of which started whilst we were at the resort. We only ate in the main hotels restaurants. The service here like others have mentioned is very very bad. Staff are not friendly, food is very repetitive and at times you can taste it is out of date.

2.
Upon returning from a quad bike tour we went to eat in the “Mediterranean” restaurant
whilst in the toilet my brother was washing his hands when a chef who had just been using the toilet came directly out of the toilet cubicle – never washed his hands then went straight out to the serving counter. We were all disgusting by this lack of hygiene but whilst on the report you are very limited as to where you can eat, as the hotel does not provide hotel transfer to or from Nama bay, you are required to pay for this which other hotels provide free of charge.

3.
The hotel service is very bad, every time you call for anything expect to wait atleast two hours and have to call them atleast three times. On the first day we went out for over 7 hours – when we came our room was still not made up despite us requesting this in the morning. On two days during our stay we had to wait for over 3 hours for toilet roll (complaints were made to reception but they stated they will send). In order to have our towels or water bottles replaced each day we had to call and expect to wait a number of hours.

4.
The entertainment at night was very poor if not non existent.

All in all Sharm el sheikh is a good destination however this resort needs to really look at the service, and food and entertainment they offer.

I would travel to Sharm again but not this resort.

Please also note you do not need a visa if you are only staying in Sharm – officials at the airport will try to lead you to a que to buy - but it is not needed for stay within Sharm el Sheikh

If you are looking for a waterpark I would stay at another hotel / resort and maybe pay to go to a water park on the days you want to use it as all the bad things about this report out weigh the good things.

This was a truely amazing holiday. We had never been to Egypt before and i would defo go back but only to this hotel. They had 5 diff restuarants to eat from. Chinese, Med, Itatlian, Indian and then the main restuarant which had a mixture from british, french german and egyptian. Me and my two brothers had an amazing time. The slides were fab abit scary but brilliant espcially when its so hot over there the waiters are so friendly and the cleanliness of the room was brilliant with to teenage lads with there clothes all over the place the cleaner used to fold everything and put it away in cuboards.

We went to Cairo to see the pyramids and i would defo advise to shop around we got it at £27 per person for the coach journey to cairo and a stop off meal ......

Stayed at the Aqua Blu for two weeks with my partner and two boys aged 12 & 14. We booked an inter-connecting room and we had my doubts about what sort of room we would get after reading some of the reviews. anyway, we arrived at reception and we asked for our key to the inter-connecting room. The receptionist handed us a key and we were off to our room. Our room was situated right abave the Aqua park entrance which was also where there are a few bars and supermarkets on the street outside and it was the biggest room that i have ever stayed in...it was like a flat - it had a large bathroom/toilet, a kitchen area with a hob and large fridge, which was filled everyday with bottles of water for each of us. it had 2 seperate single beds within the flat area and a seperate bedroom with a queen size bed (this room itself was a normal size hotel room) we were well chuffed...Now it wasnt all good - The 1st night there a lot of noise late evening from the street - my Partner didnt sleep at all and went to reception 1st thing the next morning to try and change rooms ( the kids and I were happy to stay where we was!) We were told that there were no more inter-connecting rooms to change us and if we insisted on being changed , they had no option but to put us in a room with a double bed and bunk bed ( that couldnt happen as my kids were far too big for bunk beds) Now it was Ramadan for the 1st few days when we arrived and thats why there was a lot of noise (it was from the locals) We stuck it out and the noise died down after a couple of days...Our room was cleaned and tidyed daily - we couldnt fault the maid at all - everyday he made things out of our towels (brilliant) The food was hot and there was lots of choice. I think that if you go All Inclusive the food just gets boring after a week - what we tended to do was eat all inclusive for a few days and then we went into Naama Bay for food and a change of scenery. ADVISE - take Large plastic cups with you for drinks as their cups are tiny and the time you get back to your sunbed i had drank it. - overall had a brill time, never saw kids as they were on the flumes and in the pool all day.

before we come we read all the reviews on trip adviser at great lengh, some were good and some were just ok. I'm so glad we went with gut instink because i can honestly say this has been the best holiday by far that we've ever had, the whole place from the moment you check in to the moment you leave is just fantastic and the srvice is second to none. The animation team go out of thier way to make everyone feel welcome espicially "Mario" what a fantatsic guy and definatly made our stay all the more enjoyable!! he asked if he could take our boys to a nightclub outside the complex and after much thought we decided to just trust our instinks and wow the kids had a fantastic time and he looked after them so well, all in all its a great place for kids of all ages and there is something for everyone to do and the water park on site is great and even tho its open to the public we never had to queue for anything.
Would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
A good tip is to only use the supermarket to the left of the main entrance as its so much cheaper than the one on the right ( this also had a little stall inside the complax also)
