The sofitel... if you think you are going to the well known 5* Sofitel's dotted all over the world please think again, you are not, this Sofitel is the only one that is an all inclusive holiday and is not the same other than the name as the other wonderful 5* hotels. The food is much the same on a weekly turn around, and dishing up recycled food through the week, regarding your drinks, the manager seams to think he has the rite to say what you can drink and where you can drink it as he seams to think that it is free and is kind enough to let you have a free drink, he fails to understand that this holiday has all been paid for, regarding the wine, it is local wine, and the cheapest wine at that. you will see silly little signs up saying free wine in this bar if not you will end up paying for it even though you already have done within your all inclusive package. The bar itself is drab and way to dark, there is no atmosphere during the day in there and not a nice place to sit. You can choose to eat in other parts of the hotel but you will pay for that privilege and its not cheep. The all inclusive rooms are on the second floor and above of the building so if you have prams or a wheel chair then you will have to divert all around t he building just to get to the restaurants, you can upgrade and pay the extra which is what we had to do and it wasn't cheap, of course.. the rooms where cleaned to the bare minimum daily, the beach is a man made beach and is very rocky, you will find it very difficult to walk over out to the breakwater. if you think you can let your children play on the edge of the beach you cant because of the rocks. In all this hotel should be a 3-4* but no more, This hotel should not be allowed to use the name Sofitel as it certainly is not the Sofitel that I no...

Room Tip: I felt that the bests rooms that suited us due to prams and a very bad back, steps where not good for us and paid the extra and had a room on the ground floor

One more time, I stayed at Sofitel Taba Heights for 3 nights…enjoyed everything in the hotel. The room was clean, the food was perfect, lots of variety in the buffet, staff are attentive and really friendly. The hotel managers are always available to talk to us. We enjoyed also the night show and the beach party on Friday evening. You can not miss the snorkeling by the beach, make sure you buy your needs from the uptown because the prices are far cheaper.

Room Tip: i love to stay at Plaza Rooms , it is close to the pools and beach , i love it

We have just been back from Sofitel Taba Heights, I do not really know how many times have I stayed there..I think this was my 8th time in the hotel. Everything was perfect as usual, lots improvements since last year, new beach bar and tea and coffee in the rooms. The staff was as usual very welcoming, I felt I am home. We will be back next October

I have been in Taba in March'12. In my opinion Sofitel is one of the best hotel in Egipt. High quality of food and service. Great animation team. Lot of charming places to relax. Many sport activities (volleyball, boule, gym, fitness, aqua gym, joga ect). For sure I will come back there again.
