I am visiting this hotel for 6th time in last 5 years. I was in Egypt about 20 times, but last years I choose only this hotel, being sure that is the best I can find in Egypt. It is just few steps away from Israel and you can travel there just by feet! Excellent food, and service, big nice rooms, big prremisses, very long sea line and plenty of space and green grass everywhere. Very calm and quite place. There is everything what you need for very nice prices, "all inclusive" programm let you feel yourself as in paradise. All staff is very polite and helpfull, just ask what you need and you will get it promptly. It hase warmend water indoor swimming pool if the weather is too windy or cloudy and it is cold in main pool or sea - possibly in december and january. But anyways I swim outdoors in december too. There is not a lot of wind usual in Egypt because it is surrounded by the high mountains

Room Tip: West wing have some noise from chinese restorant pool and fontains pumps. Try to ask East wing section "A" to be closer to restaurant and reception. If you get ground floor - you will have open way to the grass garden and even direct 10-15m grassway to the main swimming pool, if you book seaview. Mountains view and river view is also very nice.

I needed a rest and the hotel with its beautiful setting, pool and Red Sea was ideal. The staff was extremely helpful anticipating my every need and especially in the dining room, the manager Mr. Abdel Samae. From the first day he knew what I liked and the moment I stepped into the restaurant he would be prompt to prepare my place, my water and all the little details that show careful service. The swimming pool is large and well kept and so is the lovely and clean beach. Lovely place, lovely staff and wonderful rooms (I had an executive suite on the 3rd floor)with a great view of swimming pool and Red Sea, excellent price. I would definitely stay there again! .
The only thing I would change is more variety in the food. It was filling and plentiful but a bit monotonous.

I visited Eilat and made one day trip to Taba. The hotel is less than 1 km from the border, and its area is well hold and picturesque. If you stay in Moevenpick (or Hilton or Taba Sands) you are not obliged to pay departure tax and Sinai tax. (Just hold with you some prove that you stay in Moevenpick, e.g. receipt or booking). The hotel staff was hospitable, including security guards, reception manager Mohammad, money exchange office, souvenir shop, beach bar, etc. Money exchange is reasonably good (at least, if you change $ or euro to EGP). However, do not leave too much EGP if you cross border - according to Egyptian rules it is forbidden to take their currency abroad. So, better spend them in Egypt.
The hotel area is very beautiful, at the left side of the beach there are corals and colored fishes. The breakfast was just OK.
Going along the beach you can visit Hilton and Nelson village.

There are place in Egypt where chaos is unknown, where you can rest and lay in the sun without worriyong about the world around. The area of Taba is one of those, specially the Mövenpick Hotel.
Surrounded by the mountains of South Sinaï, you discover a quiet and green space - yes green!! - and smiling people devoted to your pleasure.
Rooms are large and full of light, bathrooms are clean and the food is various.
A special mention to Mr Abdel Samae the restaurant manager who was always there for us, guessing what we needed before we asked, providing us with delicious fruit juice every morning along with a special coffee he had made especially for us.
We spent 2 lovely weeks and are eager to come back!!

Certainly the staff attitude ensured the 5 star rating . The food was excellent. I am quite prepared to pay extra for imported items -But If you are going to offer "all inclusive package"-then do so -and not have various restrictions on times of meals.
