“Excellence in Paradise”

Paradise Taveuni is excellent and definately paradise. The accommodations are spacious, inviting and comfortable, The food is spectacular - every single meal is a culinary delight. The staff are friendly and will do their best to accommodate your every whim or desire. The views and surrounding countryside is not to be missed, and all that dive here can't speak highly enough of the under water world. The spa treatments make you feel like a new person.
What else can I say???? Make this your next holiday destination.

You are blown away by this place from the moment you arrive. Greeted by the exceptionally warm and friendly staff who only become friendly as your stay goes on. They are very attentive and helpful any time of the day, you cant help but smile when greeted by there friendly faces. The grounds are tranquil and the views spectacular. The meals are tasty and with the multiple options of venues to enjoy them from.

The diving here is fantastic, very professional and fun staff take you out each day to some incredible spots. Every dive is planned around weather and tides to get the best conditions, there is no set departure time each day in order to ensure you arrive at the best time. Walter and Christine made both the diving and the time on the boat extremely fun, full of laughs above the water, spotting all the little things under the water.

The rooms are very spacious, the outdoor shower and spa is a awesome way to relax after diving.

This place is a real credit to the owners, who every day take interest in you and make sure everything is alight. Allen also looks after the diving and I have to thank him greatly as he organised an extra dive master to look after me due to being far less experienced then the other divers.

This place really nails all the small things that take a place from being great, to spectacular. Highly recommend it for both relaxing and diving, I will be returning.

Room Tip: Ocean views are a great welcome to each day, but there are so many great spots to relax around the g...

Just got back from a two and a bit week stay in Fiji this being our seventh visit to Fiji and would have to say the eight nights we spent here were sensational!
This was our first visit to this part of Fiji and we loved this resort the quality of the accommodation, food, service, massage and diving was all fantastic.
One of the many things we loved about it was the flexible meal taking arraignments in that you can choose multiple spots to eat whatever meal it is.
The resort is a real credit to the owners and the staff are all simply brilliant.
Everyone we met there loved this place as much as us and all are threatening to return as are we.

Overall we rate this four star resort as a five star and having stayed at some of Fiji's five star resorts we can say this with confidence.

Thank you to all at Paradise for a wonderful stay and we will back only this time with the kids.

Warren and Vea

Room Tip: All rooms are good but of course ocean front ones have the better view.

I have lived in Fiji for two and a half years and have been fortunate enough to visit quite a lot of hotels and resorts, in Taveuni and elsewhere. Paradise Taveuni is without doubt the best of them all, and comes close to the best I've stayed anywhere. It is far superior to Coconut Grove, for a similar price.

I have visited Paradise twice and would need little encouragement to return again. The resort's beautifully manicured tropical garden overlooks the calm waters of the Somosomo strait. It's an idyllic setting - serene and peaceful. Even when the resort is full, it feels like you have it to yourself.

For swimmers, It's fantastic. There is also a pool with views out over the water. But better still, as there is no beach, you can swim or snorkel straight off the jetty, at any time of day. Swimming in the lake-like stillness of the water at sunset is one of my abiding memories of Fiji.

The diving in Taveuni is world renowned. Paradise has a well equipped dive outfit on site, offering daily trips to the 30 or so dive sites, 20 mins boat ride away, on the Rainbow and Vuna reefs.

Allan and Terri are fantastic hosts: warm, friendly and ever helpful. They support the local community's medical centre and school. The resort administers a sponsorship scheme, offering guests the opportunity to fund a local child through school.

The staff were excellent and charming, attentive but not overbearing. We felt very well looked after without being fussed over. As returning guests we were treated to a free upgrade and a romantic four course meal. And as Fiji residents we received a generous discount of almost 50%. It was incredibly good value.

Dining at Paradise is a wonderful experience. There are a number of options for private dining under the stars, which shine brightly in Taveuni. You can have a table set up overlooking the water, on the grass beneath the palm trees or in your own private bure. The food is great, curry night a highlight.

The accommodation was excellent too. We stayed in a oceanfront vale with A/C and an outside jacuzzi bath. It was newly built, cool inside and very quiet. We slept long and contentedly.

I couldn't recommend Paradise enough.

After a fabulous tour of New Zealand, I was concerned that the second phase of our journey in Fiji would be disappointing.
From the minute we were picked up at the tiny airport in Taveuni until we arrived at "Paradise" my doubts began dissolving. Once inside the resort property we were captured by the beautiful setting, attentive staff, caring owners and the total excellent 6 days of Paradise. A spacious bungalow, well prepared meals in a relaxing tropical setting, great service on a comfortable dive boat and the ability to purchase unlimited Wi-Fi made living in Paradise excellent.
We are seasoned travelers and divers and the diving and resort were above expectation and a new and different experience for us.

We spent the first three days of our honeymoon here and it was too short! We were welcomed with coconut water and foot massages on the porches of our beautifully decorated bungalows. Modern but keeping that pristine FIji feel. We indulged in the massage package; 3 days of 2 hour massages, all top quality using natural products, set on the ocean.Diving and snorkeling service was five star. All of the staff is beyond friendly! The grounds are pristine and safe. The food was phenomenal; all local, homemade, tasty, and presented remarkably. I can't say enough about this place. YOU MUST GO and you WON"T be disappointed. Great for couples, groups, singles (wanting solo time).

Words will never be able to paint a picture as beautiful as our trip to Paradise was. My husband and I arrived in Paradise exhausted after an overnight flight from Brisbane via Sydney then Nadi, before heading to Matei airport on Taveuni. Our driver met us with ice cold water and a fabulous smile and great attitude, he clearly loves his job and was more than happy to stop at the general store on the way to the resort for us to buy a few essentials. Be prepared for a wild four wheel drive as the resort is definitely off the beaten track - but oh so worth the trip! The weather whilst we were there was not great but we still had fun and there was still heaps to do.

We arrived in Paradise to be greeted by Manager, Tony who escorted us around the resort, we then met Terri the owner who was so lovely and friendly and Wa who had a beautiful refreshing washer for us to freshen up. We arrived at the most amazing bure - exactly what you would picture in Paradise, lots of space, air con, lovely appointed bathroom and most amazing outdoor shower and spa. On our front verandah was a fresh fruit platter, coconut drinks and Wa to give us a welcome foot massage - we really were in heaven! We were given the lunch menu to choose our meals - I chose Lolo Fish (fish cooked in coconut milk) which was my favourite meal - but honestly everything was fantastic. We had a couple of romantic dinners just my husband and I by ourselves and on other nights we joined the rest of the guests for a family style dinner. We had such fun and happy hour before dinner was great too (try the fried coconut)! My husband is a fussy eater and I am coeliac - Allan (owner and chef) is so accommodating with meal requests and creates the most delicious food. Our package included meals and I was worried about what I would be able to eat, but I needn't have worried. Allan had fresh Gluten Free bread for me everyday, they could alter any meal to make it gluten free and I felt well the whole trip - this was truly wonderful. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful - you definitely don't go hungry!!!

The entire holiday was fantastic! We went snorkelling with Christine, and had lunch on a beach before more snorkelling. This isn't something I have done before but felt so safe with Christine and the dive team - Mikali, Charlie, they have excellent equipment and are so professional and patient. We saw the most amazing fish and coral - make sure to check out the cabbage patch. We also snorkelled straight off the dock at the resort - the snorkelling out front is great too. Everytime you hopped out of the water (the ocean or the pool) there was always a staff member with a friendly smile and a glass of iced water for you and a platter of fresh coconut or some fruit. We felt so spoilt.

A special thanks to Sepo and Suli for making our trip so special. Suli took us on a Village tour and was so generous with his love for his village and Sepo taught us to weave baskets from palm fronds. We drank kava with them and sang songs after a traditional Lovo dinner and just had a great time. We also did a tour to the waterfall, mud slide, date line and church with some of the other guests, it was a great day out.

If you get the chance to go to Paradise Taveuni I would definitely recommend it - I have never been anywhere like it before. Our holiday was superb, we were totally spoilt - this is a boutique resort where you are not just a number - you walk away feeling very special. Every staff member greets you by name and they seem to know your every wish even before you know it yourself. We met some wonderful friends in the other guests and we are definitely planning to return to Paradise. It is so peaceful and relaxing, but also exciting and exhilarating. Following our stay in Paradise we actually spent one night in Denarau before travelling home, we stayed at the Sofitel and whilst it was beautiful, after such personalised and relaxed service in Paradise we felt like we were just another number and couldn't believe how noisy it was - we were desperate to be back in Taveuni.

Thank you to all of the fabulous team, this was our best holiday ever!
