I have stayed at the Hot Springs a number of times and the service varies considerably. On the positive side the staff are generally very pleasant, cheerful, and willing to help, but the number of times you have to ask for basic things to be done can be irritating (clean the room for example !). The last three visits have coincided with refurbishing work being in progress meaning some facilities not being available or running a limited service - bar and restaurant twice and the swimming pool on another occasion. It would be helpful for visitors to know these things prior to booking !! The location itself is great, and the views from the rooms excellent, so for a short stay it is still a good option. For FJ$95 you can get a decent sized room with fan and fridge, hot water bath and shower, and a private balcony to enjoy the view. For another $40 you can get air conditioning, but the fan works fine so I wouldn't pay the extra.
