My boyfriend and i stayed in the Executive room which is in he newly build building, the room was very clean, spacious and modern! We really enjoyed our 4 night stay, while it was very hot during the time we stayed, the air-con in the room was a godsend! And the pool was a great way to relax and cool down after sunbathing on the sun loungers. We had lunch at the restaurant, the food was delicious and the servings were huge and the coffee was nice! It is only a very short walk into Lautoka town and the taxi stands. The staff were very friendly and im sure they would go out of their way to help in any way. We would definitely stay here again when we are next in Lautoka

I recently booked and researched my Fiji holiday online and booked waterfront based on the belief it was close to Nadi and tourist sites. Unfortunately it wasnt, Lautoka is the real Fiji, and if you want to experience day to day life in a city in Fiji, Lautoka and Waterfront are for you. If you are more interested in being close to tours and attractions recommend staying in Nadi.
The hotel is obivously very popular with the more local crowd with two government meetings happening whilst we were there
The good points:
Great pool, fairly clean, free wifi in Fins, very helpful in transferring our stay to their sister hotels in Nadi
Not so good points:
We tried to ask the staff for a good place to eat other than Fins, they were not helpful at all, and the bed in the superior rooms really is a double bed, not a hotel double/twin you would expect

Highly recommend the Tanoa if you are spending a night in Lautoka waiting to catch a cruise or head to one of the outer islands. From a location and value perspective it is far better than staying in the Nadi area. No, it is not a five star hotel but you're not paying for a 5 star hotel! There is a decent pool which was great for the kids as we had the day to kill before heading out on the Blue Lagoon Cruise (only giving them a 3 star), the room are clean and there is a good restaurant on sight. If you're in Lautoka don't miss the market, much better than the Nadi markets.

We stayed here for only one night at the end of our trip as we had pre-booked the next night in Nadi. What a jewel! Our room in the new wing (recently constructed) was nothing short of spectacular with all the bells and whistles. We paid less than $90 per night for a room that would have cost well over $350 in Canada or the U.S. The view of the ocean was superb and the pool area was very nice. Our only regret was we were there for only one night. If you are staying in Lautoka (or Nadi for that matter) look no further but make sure you stay in the new wing!

Room Tip: Ask for the new wing. The older wing is fine but not in the same league.
