On June 19th, me and 12 crazy divers ventured to the trip of a life time to the island of Fiji. Although we left on Thursday we did not arrive until Saturday morning. We then boarded an air conditioned bus and after 2 hours of driving through towns and over mountains we arrived at the true" HEAVEN ON EARTH. " As we pulled into the parking lot there were people singing and greeting us as we were heros. We checked into the resort and the adventure began. Our luggage was brought to our rooms for unpacking and our rooms were ready and gorgeous, mine right on the beach front. We took our dive equipment to the dive shop and filled out our proper paperwork and when we asked if we could set up our gear we were told that it would be done by the dive crew. After this day we did not touch our dive gear unless we were diving. The dive boats were roomy and well equipped and the Captain and Dive Masters and Instructors were second to none. They were very knowledgable and friendly and treated us as they had known us all their lives. The diving was great and the service by Wananavu Dive Boys and Mere was fantastic. The food in the restaurant was great and the service from the staff was exceptional. We took town tours and slid down ice cold mountain streams and took park in an actual KAVA ritual in a local village. Did I mention we also drank a lot of KAVA during our 10 days. WOW.......We had two divers celebrate their 100th dive and it is a celebration they will never forget and Wananavu Dive Boys joined in the fun. We also celebrated 2 birthdays and the chef baked them a home made cake. Now this was something very special. There was also plenty of fun and practical joking by all thru the entire trip. From cold water to even food coloring in those fun places. ........The sunrise and sunsets were so beautiful each photo looked like a postcard ready for mailing and the surrounding fauna was just as appealing and beautiful. THIS RESORT HAS IT ALL. Every good thing must come to an end so after our final day of diving the dive shop said they would take care of all the gear and we were not to touch it until they finished cleaning it. We used the last day to enjoy the Spa and take in the massages and also spent the day at the resort style pool area. Sunday morning came and our gear was Clean, Dry and was ready to be packed up for travel. WANANAVU DIVERS TREATED ALL OUR DIVERS LIKE ROYALITY THE ENTIRE WEEK. This was a week of diving and relaxing people dream about. As we boarded the bus to take us back to the airport the dive crew, the staff and the entire crew sang to us and wished us safe travels and he hope of return to their paradise.
THE ENTIRE RESORT STAFF WAS ALWAYS HAPPY TO SEE YOU AND HAD A GENUINE FRENDINESS ABOUT THEM. The ride to the airport was quiet and everyone was already missing the friends we will have for a life-time. This resort has it all from great accommodations to a great Chef and lots of good food to helpful friendly wait staff. The Spa was wonderful, the pool was fun and the DIVING WAS FANTASTIC AND THE BEST DIVE CREW I HAVE EXPERIENCED.

“Deep South Scuba Jackson,MS”

This was one of the greatest places that I have ever been. The dive crew was the best. We had six days of diving and none were bad. The sites that were seen was absolutely unbelievable. The group that we were with was fantastic.

Mere and the Dive boys were great. They had us spoiled by the end of the week. I was always told that if you can't carry your gear that you couldn't dive, well I hate to tell you but that is not correct. They had our gear ready to go each day and would swap out everything for you while out on the dive boat (boy was that nice). Sure do wish I could have brought them home with us.

On our last day there we had two divers reach their 100th dive and the crew helped with the celebration. This was achieved at the dive site of the Cat's Meow and this was the most favorite site of all.

We really enjoyed this place and hope to return again one day. Hope all the dive crew will still be there.

“Great Dive Crew!”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

We had a great time diving with this crew. Well equipped boats and always on time except for one day when one of the boat motors wouldn't start. A nearby dive operation loaned their boat and we were on our way. The water was a bit rough the first couple of days, but then it was as smooth as glass. Great dive sites and crew was very attentive. I highly recommend diving with Dive Wananavu!

“Best diving experience I've had!”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

The dive crew at Wananavu was amazing! Our group had 5 people (beginner-intermediate) and we dove for several days. They learned our names immediately, knew each of our preferences/quirks, and were always friendly. We rented and all of the gear was in good condition and well maintained. I'll definitely be returning and spending more time diving with this group!

“World Class Dive Op - Good Times!”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

This dive op is first rate. I dived with these folks for a week in late April. The dive masters are sharp, knowledgeable, and ready for action in the morning. Staff was very courteous and accommodating for our group. We had mostly intermediate to advanced divers in our group, and were able to tackle some more advanced, fast-moving, dive sites in the Bligh Waters. They're not afraid to shoot for the far dive sites like E6, and know how to read the currents well to keep it safe. The entire group was great to dive with.

Boats were in great condition. They're smaller, which I prefer. No cattle call boats here. 3rd dive is optional at this dive op, plan ahead with the local restaurant so you can get out on the water quickly.

Didn't see much on the night dive - would probably not recommend this. Also, dive shop has limited extra gear/tools. Make sure your stuff works ahead of time and/or have a backup.
