Senegambia market is huge filled with people shoulder to shoulder selling everything from sunglasses to cement and anything inbetween.
The roads are packed with taxis ,stalls it looks totaly unorganised but i am sure it.
If you get the chance go just to experience Gambian life but do take a guide

After visiting gambia several times i enjoyed talking to the locals in the market and they made me very welcome. Unfortunately this time as no tourists coming in i found it the opposite . I was shouted at by one store owner as i was effecting his business i know thus is a difficult time for gambians but found it very hostile and some if them very angry and aggressive i certainly wont be visiting again

Such a pity because I wanted to buy several things for the family, but the hassling and pushing by he vendors drove me away very quickly. If they'd just leave people to look, they'd make more sales.

Some interesting African products but tmany stalls appear to be fronted by an english speaking assistant with the stall owner in the background. Very similar products to many other local markets. Quite surprising that the stallholders were unhappy if you wouldn't enter the stall, but often thanked you for entering even if you didn't make a purchase.
