“value for money”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

most people visit their open air outlet just next to fisheries museum and the swimming pool. but they also have an air conditioned restaurant on the first floor of a building almost opposite on the other side of the road. and that is a far better proposition. certainly in terms of prices. we had a couple of lunches there for we were told its good for sea food. we chose prawns & snapper from the fresh catch display on ice. since they seem the most commonly available other than crabs. we got the prawns stir fried and the snapper done tandoori. both tasted quite nice. we had standard indian accompaniments - rice, dal etc. and the cooking was decent. in that the cost of lunch for 4 came to rs.1000/- only, it was fair enough in terms of value for money.

“Average Food and not great service”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

So having gone there once and being turned back, we assumed the food must really be good for all the crowd that was waiting. We went back again just to see what all the fuss was about and we were sorely disappointed. Firstly, the only way you will get to sit upstairs is if you are going to be drinking alcohol. If you aren't you will be asked to go back downstairs. Once down, you might have to hunt a waiter down to finally place an order. While the food did come to us pretty quick, it wasn't all that great in taste. The fish seemed slightly undercooked while the prawns were overcooked. Location is excellent, close to cellular jail. Also, this place is usually confused with Lighthouse Residency. Two different places!

“Great king prawns; deep fried wish, average”
Reviewed 10 March 2014 via mobile

We had a few hours to kill between the time arrived on a ferry to the South Andaman and the flight to Kolkatta, that we asked oir driver to take us to a nice fish restaurant. So we arrived there and were seduced my king prawns (400 rupees a piece but totally worth it!) and the dollar fish (never heard of it before). The prawns were magnificent but the fish was deep-fried and with millions of small bones. My recommendation, get 3 prawns per head and you will not regret it! (Skip the dollar fish)

“Average Food”
Reviewed 25 February 2014

The restaurant is located near the jetty from which boats leave for Ross Island. The restaurant has 2 levels & is basic fan, chair & tables. The food quality is average though they do have a live counter for crabs, lobsters & some fish. The menu pricing is fair & an average meal would cost you 300 bucks per head.

“loooong waiting....”
Reviewed 22 February 2014

We went there in the evening, were the first customers, beside us was only a couple having a beer. It took ages for food to come, when we ordered extra roti it came after 20 min... Promised salad never arrived.. As they weren't busy at all that eve there is no explanation... Menu is way too big, food was so, so, could be better. Waiter was nice though.
