“Believe”

If you believe Lord Venkatesa, you must visit this place. Totally doesn't have the Hundi system where they collect money. Neither has VIP darshan system to raise funds. the priest's continuous chanting make the place much better. These are all materialistic advantages that makes your time with god more memorable..

“Chilkur Balaji also will be called as VISA god for abroad aspirants!”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

Calm and holy surroundings of temple and wish a wish make Nine circumferential rounds around the sanctum sanctorum of temple. After fulfilment of your wish, again you shall make 108 rounds as a ritual of homage to Lord Balaji. Management is fantastic, beautiful discipline only scope for improvement is at toilets. This is the temple without any tickets like most of the Andhra Pradesh temples which maintains by Endowment department with commercial goals as prime aspects. This is running by a trust on determination of service orientation

“Visa God”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

Balaji here is popularly known as Visa god and the temple will be always crowded especially in the holidays. But dharshan of this god is very energetic and our belief will increase after seeing the crowd there to see him. There is no HUNDIAL or any collection of money by the persons or any special entry,,,, but they are asking us to issue prasadham to the devotees if you are interested to render service to god insted of money,,,They also respect ladies with small children and allowing them directly skiping the que,,,,

“too far too crowded”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

i dont intend to diminish the wonders of the temple.. but only the sorry state of its affairs... i've been visiting this temple since 8 years now and it was changed for the better and for the worse...

for better... because it now has a lot more shaded area to walk in, a lot more parking space, more eating options...

for worse... it now feels more commercialised than any other temple in the city, vendors and beggers make ur walk a living nightmare and to top it all, the cleanliness, which was A1 till couple of years back, has taken a back seat in the temple... also the pandits who use to boost their "NO HUNDI ONLY PRAYER" slogan now takes money willingly and gets upset if they are not big currency notes...

real change in the situation... and not for the best... none the less... i will continue to visit for all the other reasons...
