Assam without visiting Brahmaputra River is futile. This mighty river certainly will amaze you for its vastness, one could easily pass an hour or two by cruising a boat or sitting on the banks .

As a couple in a party of 8 we really enjoyed a cruise aboard the MV Charaidew. We had a crew of 24 looking after our every need. We also had a naturalist on board and spent hour river dolphin spotting. We had all meals on board and the chef excelled at providing these. Lots to see. Never really envisaged how mighty the Brahmaputra river is. Puts the UK's River Thames in perspective. Quiet nights anchored on sand banks with not a light in sight. A trip to remember.

Am writing the review just when "Namami Brahmaputra' - the biggest River Festival of India is being celebrated at Assam from 31st March till 4th April, 2017. The mighty and majestic river is the pride of Assam. Originating from China, the total length of the river is 2900 kms. Assam enjoys the 720 kms of the length which helps them in their livelihood in the form of wading of cattle, fishing, and cultivation of different types of crops, irrigation and riverine transport. The width of the River extends from 1 Km in Hajo (Guwahati) to almost 16kms near Dibrugarh.

It was a lifetime experience to go cruising on the Brahmaputra, stop in the villages nearby and enjoy the never ending view of the river.

One of the biggest & major river of Asia and a lifeline of Assam. Famous for it's sunrise & sunset views from boat but unfortunately i couldn't capture it due to heavy rain. But whatever i have seen there was beautiful. Have seen many tea gardens on the way, That was also a quite attraction. One should have to add this attraction in their itinerary, Truly worth.
