I'm on a bicycle trip across India. I reached Daman on Holi covered in various chromatic powders. I needed a place to stay. I started checking availability at hotels on the beach. The Hotel Princess Park was the first that had a room. Albeit at $4000 rupees a night. I was in Daman on Holi without a reservation. So I took the room. The staff got the room ready but left the door to the balcony open allowing many insects including mosquitos into the room. They ate me alive. The water was hot in the shower for awhile but then went cold. Granted, it was a long shower. I had to wash off all that Holi color. The restaurant also had a bug problem. Actually, the front desk in the lobby had a lot of flies on it at night. The lights went out in the restaurant at night and didn't come back on. I used the light of my IPad to eat. The ice cream sundae was on the menu but they couldn't make one. I went next door to another hotel. Not only did they have a great ice cream sundae but they had a room for half the price. Also with an ocean view. More English channels on the TV and no mosquitos in the room. I switched hotels the next day.
