Had a relaxing weekend at the Azzaro and the stay was pleasant. This resort is not exactly at the beach, to get to the Nagoa beach, 5 mins (by car) travelling is required. However this resort is in between the Diu City and Nagao beach. The room was spacious and the concept of glass window view for the bathroom was creative (I am sure couples would enjoy that). The swimming pool was clean and well maintained. Got good assistance and helping from the swimming pool staff. The service was good. Breakfast was complimentary and food was nice. got wi-fi as complementary, though for 2-3 hours/day only. Although it was not up to a 5 star resort stay, overall experience was nice.

Room Tip: First floor rooms may be preferred, if you are looking for some privacy and swimming pool view

My stay at Azzaro was acceptable but not overwhelming for a 5-star resort.
We had booked 7 rooms for 3 nights and hence we got a decent deal from the hotel. The staff was cooperative and polite. They were ready to help when we had travel related and other queries.
Some of the positives and negatives are mentioned below:

Positives:
1) The hotel is quite cost effective for a 5-star resort even though they do not have much competition in their category in Diu
2) The rooms are well spaced out and the bathrooms are well equipped and clean
3) The garden and pool area is quite small for a resort but well made. It is a nice place to relax in the evenings
4) The 24 hr coffee shop had some good options available and was particularly useful to us as we had checked-in at 11 in the night

Negatives:
1) The breakfast was a big let down. It was lacking in variety and quality
2) The hotel itself is far away from the beach and other attractions in Diu
3) The water supply our room lacked pressure which was a problem especially in the shower

Overall I believe that the resort is new and there is a margin for error.
I am sure as they evolve they will only get better.

Room Tip: All rooms are pool facing and there is no particularly better view from the first floor. So it is be...

I was very surprised to find this hotel in Diu. It is very nice. Has good rooms. Good spa facility. The food was very good. On top the service was good. One can stay few day in solitude in this place. Because of this the hotel is frequented by Bollywood famous to spend time without being chased. Good place for a holliday

Room Tip: Take a room facing the pool

I recently stayed with my family at Azzaro in Diu. The hotel is bit overpriced but have nice rooms and good food. It is a great place to stay for a quiet holiday and I would recommend to try it atleast once.

The only downside is that it is far from all the beach and thus a car is necessary if you plan to stay in this hotel.

The restaurant at the hotel is all about looks and nothing else.
We has ordered veg sizzlers and dal makahani and steamed rice.
inspite of telling the waiter that dal makahni should be spicy at all and is meant for kids the dal was made spicy.
The sizzlers lack taste and quantity was extremely less.
We liked the lemon coriander soup.

We had to repeatedly call the waiter to fill the glasses with water. The restaurant was empty and the waiter was in his own world. A big no no to the place.

common toilets had no exhaust, no water, no toilet paper, no soap. flush not working. terrible place.

I recently stayed with my family at Azzaro Resort & Spa, Diu. The hotel is relatively new and that makes it one of the best places to stay in Diu for a 2-3 days holiday. Diu is a very beautiful town and of the all 3, Daman, Diu & Goa, I loved Diu most for a quiet family holiday. I particularly liked the restaurant staff and food, while the staff at Reception and others have some room for improvement in terms of providing better friendly services and smiling face, one would expect from a class hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 1st floor offer a better view as compared to ground floor rooms.
