When I arrived I planned to stay 3 days. Dear friends, I stayed 1 week. That because Heranca Goesa is a wonderful, welcoming, peaceful and convenient place where to relax if you are taking a bag-packer travel or to enjoy no matter the type your holiday is.
Mami prepared one of the best breakfast of India and Francisco one of the best dinner.
Strictly speaking, the room are clean and well-cared.
The position is the best, as the guesthouse is out of the "center" but easly reachable.
This is not a review, this is to say many thanks to you, Mamy and Francisco.

From the first arrival the hosts were so welcoming. The rooms are spotless with good size balconies, and the linen is fresh and clean. The beds are also comfortable.

just five minutes from town, the guest house is tucked away in a quiet street, with the highlight being the shaded breakfast area in the courtyard, with real tableloths!

Just come and relax, that's what this place is designed for.

They also have a rooftop with great views of the ocean.

Herança Goesa is totally charming. Run by a lovely Goan couple, Francisco and Alina, who can't do enough to make your stay a pleasant one. Rooms are simple, bright, comfortable and clean.
The location is great, close to the churches, museum, fort, town, beaches, and some good restaurants. It's also a very peaceful spot.
It's also excellent value for money, and serves great breakfasts.
Highly recommended!

Nicely tucked away, but close to centre of town. Clean and comfortable with friendly owner who spoke excellent English and was very helpful. No food provided as it was closed season but this was not a problem as there was an excellent restaurant on the sea front nearby called Apana. Only down side was that the bus station was on the other side of town, about a twnety minute walk away.

This is a homestay or guesthouse property, and you should go in expecting just that. We selected this place since we were unable to get a place in any of the upscale hotels, due to weekend rush, and the good ratings on trip advisor. This is a small family run place and everyone is very helpful. I was a bit worried about losing the place since they did not have a formal reservation confirmation mechanism, but they assured that they would keep a room for me, and they did. The rooms were spacious and clean, and we had hot water available via in room water heater any time we needed it. All in all it was a nice stay for a day.

pro:
close to a lot of the local sight-seeing places (whatever there are in diu)
clean and tidy rooms/toilets
very reasonably priced, when most of diu hotels are charging exorbitant rates.

cons:
unless you are visiting in the peak season, no food available.
slightly interior location, means either you should have your own transport or you need to walk a bit to the main road.
