“Memorable Beach Resort Good Value for Money”
Reviewed 18 December 2012

Whenever I visit Goa, I love to stay in the marvelous The Goan Village Resort. Last month I spent a wonderful time with family in this amazing resort. I was really very pleasurable time we spent there. The resort is superb with spacious rooms for the accommodation of the guests. Rooms are equipped with all the latest amenities, taking care of all your accommodation needs.
Food coming from the dinning of the hotel is delicious. It’s all capable to satisfy your taste-buds. Our leisure time becomes much special with the Gym, Spa and Swimming Pool offered by the resort. It has all the ways to make our vacations memorable experience. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. They cordially take care of all the need of the guests and provide warm hospitality to them.

Overall this was a memorable stay at this beach resort and I got good value for money during my stay there.

service is second to none and nothing is to much trouble.cleaning every day, smiles from everyone, even the managers.
dont expect western standard chain hotel same anywhere in the world. this is a great local hotel

Room Tip: suits are obviosly better and very big.

GO GOA GO TO THE GOAN VILLAGE
simply suberb, rooms are nice and cozy. Amazing services with unmatched sea food. Being a food lover i am very particular about food and the chef at the resort took good care of all the needs and in deed it was very delightfull.

Location is also a added advatage if you are looking for south of goa. My recommendation to food lovers and people who love to explore and have loads of fun.

We booked this property by calling the hotel directly and deposited advance 50 % 10 days before for which they charged us 5500 per night in a so called suite , i also informed them about late checkout due to the evening flight . when we visited at the hotel , there was no one to pick the luggage also ( they lack in manpower ) ,while checking in i reinformed them about late checkout ( which was about 2-3 hours only ) they refused and said that they never did that commitment at all , we were waiting at the reception for more than an hour and they did not have courtesy to even ask water for drinking. They troubled us so much for late checkout request though it was informed earlier ..they are such big liars. And then when we saw the rooms, we were horrified and very much disappointed, the room was not worth Rs.1000 a night while they charged Rs. 5500 a night to us .. there was very bad smell in rooms , full of insects and mosquitos, the so called balcony has a view of garbage and dustbin of the restaurant, the bath rooms were so simple and had nothing other than towel and one sample soap. It doesn’t even have running hot water. finally we changed the hotel next day as they did not refund our advance payment .. The dinner and breakfast was horrible. Never get impressed by the pool, it is like a small bath tub in front of the restaurant. Over all this is a small road side hotel not worth spending even a penny if you are planning to have a good stay.
and while checking out they did not even give bill to us for our stay which we deposited in their account . .. i realised that sometimes tripadvisors views can be misleading , i booked this property by seeing maximum good views but in reality its a real bad place in terms of everything to stay in goa ..this stay wasted almost whole day in goa . very bad experience .

Room Tip: dont spoil your vacations by booking this hotel

My Goa tour became really memorable experience during my last visit to Goa. It was all because of The Goan Village where I stayed during my visit. The resort offers all the excellent services and facilities to its guests. Location is perfect amidst the finest beaches. It also offered trip to many of the superb beaches. And this made my trip to Goa much enjoyable. Rooms are spacious and equipped with all the latest amenities. Entertainment is totally taken care of inside and outside the rooms. For our perfect leisure time, it offered health club, swimming pool and Spa. Food from its dinning was amazing. I enjoyed every bit of it. Other must mention thing here is the pleasant hotel staff which is very helpful to the guests. Due to all this, anybody whom I know is going to Goa, I recommend The Goan Village as the hotel is really a lovely place to stay at.

We landed at the Goan Village Resort at 5 a.m. after experiencing the worst nightmare of a hotel I have ever had the misfortune to walk into and quickly walked out of. Our poor taxi driver was quaking but agreed to help us find alternative accomodation. Candolim was busy and after 4 rejections from full hotels we finally arrived at the GVR to find they HAD a room....thank goodness!!! BUT the room wouldnt be ready till after midday....groan...anyway we smiled sweetly and said we had travelled overnight and were tired and so they did their utmost and had the room cleaned and sorted by 8.30 a.m......reeeesult! In the meantime we slept on a sunbed and then sampled the breakfast....curry for breakfast was different but pretty tasty...an average breakfast with omlet/toast/fruit (all passable but not delish!) The room was pretty basic but had an anti room...so didnt feel too cramped at all....fridge and big bathroom with only shower (beware of the tiled floor...I went a cropper after a shower) The room had good a/c and fan! BUT the bed was like sleeping on a marble floor.....we did get used to it eventually! All in all basic accomodation at quite a price but a pleasant and easy place to stay. The staff are friendly and willing to help.....it's in a good location near the yum Fisherman's Cove restaurant. but a little bit of a hike to the beach which was glorious as hardly anyone on it as it was pre season. The sea is beautiful and clear with great waves....a really chilled holiday all in all....eventually!!!

Room Tip: apparently the rooms on the left as you look at the resort have softer beds....we were 204 so guessi...
