We have been coming to Goa for 15 years staying in various hotels but this year decided to do our own thing we stayed with Anthony & his family for 8 weeks & enjoyed every minute he arranged a taxi at the airport & was there to greet us in the early hours of the morning, the room was lovely & clean & bright with a lovely private balcony where you could have breakfast served if required & if you come back early from the beach Anthony will always serve you a pot of tea very nice especially if you have managed to catch the cake man on the beach .There are some really nice restaurants in the area as well you don;t need to go further into Candalim,a wonderful italien Tuscany gardens the best spaghetti ever went 3 times just o have it Or Shivers or Santa Lucia, also try Palm & sands on the beach lovely & breezy in the evenings .
If you want any clothes made or altered go to Hollywood Fashions just down the road on the right (man model stood outside ) he is a great guy & an excellent tailor.
We had a wonderful holiday and would definetely recommend D;Souza's guest house if you want good standards the rooms are cleaned every day & the linen and towels every other day you could not fault anything..

Room Tip: we had room 105 on the back nice & bright but not to much sun to over heat the room

"My stay at D'souza's Holiday Homes has been one to remember. The rooms
are spotlessly clean. The shower must have been the best in Candolim, very
hot and controlable anytime, day or night. The staff are very helpful.
Nothing is a problem to them. It's not too far from the centre of things
with a taxi rank outside. I would recommend this holiday home to anyone.".

We stayed for 2 weeks in January 2012, and although we have stayed in Goa many times this was the first time we booked on line and were unsure as to what we had let ourselves in for, but we needn't have worried - from the pick up at the airport on arrival to our return trip to the airport, everything went very smoothly.

A fabulous place to stay - best value for money. Our room in the main building was large and airy, with a large balcony. It was immaculately clean and comfortable with regular change of sheets/towels service and laundry was excellent. Anthony and his family are lovely, kind hosts, nothing is too much trouble and very helpful. We were sorry to leave would have loved to have stayed longer but will definitely stay with Anthony again next time we go to Goa.

Have just spent 2 weeks at this guest house and was very impressed. We have been to Goa before and not all establishments are as clean as this. We were not housed in the main building, we rented 2 rooms in an annex which were sparkling clean and comfortable. The bedding and towels were changed regularly and our room cleaned daily. The beds were very comfortable and always felt fresh and there seemed to be unlimited amounts of hot water for a shower. Anthony and his family were very pleasant and helpful. When we requested, breakfast was served on a large terrace in our building so we could all eat together which was very nice. There are lots of really good restaurants just a few minutes walk away. Although it is in a quiet area it is probably just a 5 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of Candolim or about 50 rupees in a tuk tuk. Highly recommended.

Just spent 15 days here with a colleague, each having a very clean and comfortable a/c rooms. The rooms were cleaned daily, towels changed every other day and we found the family most helpful with any requests. Hot water for showers was always available 24/7 which in my experience has not always been so at some establishments I've stayed using solar heating. Coffee was ordered for 8am each morning and it was always there dead on time.
I have stayed in this vicinity on numerous occasions so know of the many places to eat, but if you enjoy a great butter chicken then Alma's, a 5 minute walk away is superb, and on the road to the beach. All in all an enjoyable place to stay, which I will certainly do again.

Room Tip: Pick a room in the rear block away from the road.

If you ever think about a quiet holiday in Goa , India and you are looking for a place to stay, that is clean, comfortable but also within your budget, you cant go past D'Souza Holiday Home. It is located within a short walking distance from the beach on the main Fort Aguada Road. We spent 14 lovely days at this residence and we were reluctant to leave and return home. Anthony and Margaret are the owners and they live in the main house. We stayed on the Ground floor room 103 with a balcony view facing the garden. It had a ceiling fan and plenty of hot water anytime during the day. A/C also available in other rooms. There is also a fridge and a small kitchen area. However, the price they charge per day does not include your breakfast, but restaurants are within walking distance which also provided lovely Goan food. Chinese and English meals also available The rooms are cleaned regulary, with towels and sheets changed every other day. Laundry service is also provided if required at a small fee. Needless to say Anthony and Margaret are at your back and call 24/7 to ensure everthing is in order. They welcome you warmly and you instantly become part of their family. They help you with everything you need to know whilst staying in Goa, where to shop and eat, how to catch the bus, what trips to take, and how much the locals should charge you for taxi etc .so you dont get ripped off. We will never forget our stay and the great time we had at their guest house.

Good luck to you Anthony and Margaret and hope that your extension on the second floor will be completed soon which will no doubt assist in raising the "bar" in providing good hospitality for your guest.
