This place is just too good. Very quite, clean and affordable (may be off season prices). The place is maintained very well and they treated us real nice. Lourenco, deserves to be commended in doing a fantastic job. Freddy and Agnelo there, were good. The food was nice (a bit pricey.. guess food at Goa is pricey). We enjoyed our stay there thoroughly (my wife and kids). Everything we asked for was arranged for us - Food in the room, plates and nick knacks , car on hire and even a bike a hire was arranged - all we had to do was ask. The place is located close to a couple of beaches and yet not very crowded and is free from all the clutter. I read other reviews here at trip adviser and I guess this place lives up to it.

Been to this place an year ago and stayed for 3 nights with hubby and son. Got to know about it thru the tripadvisor and am happy to say that the stay, the food, the friendly hosts Lourenco and his wife, Freddie, Agnelo and the rest of the staff make the stay a memorable one. Even after about over an year I can say the this is the best in the whole of Goa. A special mention goes to Freddie's cooking. The goan delicacies prepared by him and the family were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to Goa. The rooms are clean, spacious and also reasonable. The warmth extended by all here makes u feel like wanting to stay more. As rightly said it is "A home away from home" .

We visited Candolim in January, and booked at the Bougainvillea due to the good reviews on tripadvisor. After spending almost two weeks there, we can't find words positive enough to describe the place. Travelling with two kids, three and six years old, we couldn't have come to a better place. The room was spacious and nice, with a fridge always full of beverages. We often dream back to great breakfasts in the garden, or the delicious seafood meals we got in the evening. The guesthouse is located in walking distance to the beach and restaurants in Candolim. There were a lot of activities available, both for grown ups and for kids. For instance we visited a spicefarm and had a lovely boat trip waching dolphins, and explored the beaches further north. The kids talk about Lourenco and the rest of the staff like family, and can't wait to go back. Thank you so much, Lourenco, Anne, Freddy and the rest of the staff, for doing everything to make our holiday a perfect experience :) We look forward to our next visit!

I stayed for eight nights at the end of June. The Bougainvillea was proudly displayiing its 2012 TripAdvisor Award and how richly deserved it was. I have nothing but praise for Lourenco, Freddie, Agnelo and the rest of the people at this lovely guesthouse. In comparison with this I think we have forgotten what politeness, courtesy and a genuine service ethic (not a fawning tip ethic) really is. Room, clean, tidy, perfect. Breakfast excellent in the garden, useful advice always forthcoming. I'll be going back again and cannot recommend it highly enough.

I stayed at the Bougainvillea Guest House during the monsoon season in Goa. Since we stayed in when it rained, it was nice to have a spacious, clean hotel room to stay in. We were provided with water and other beverages at very reasonable prices in our room, and the staff were very flexible in meeting our meal requests. The room was very nice, with a large bed, coffee table, two comfy chairs, television, and outdoor seating area. All of the furniture looked brand new, and the cleanliness was a welcome change from Delhi dust. The guest house is located a little ways from the nearest beach (probably a 15-20 min. walk), but the owner offered to drive us down the road when he was available, which was very appreciated. Overall, my stay at the guest house was quite pleasant!
