We reached the place on an weekend, the welcoming from the staff was good by providing the seasonal fruit drink to refresh yourself, which was delicious.
The staff was very friendly and ready to assist. The quality of food was great.
Since the resort is near the beach it was convenient to visit whenever you feel like to get the breeze of Sea. The resort is best place to relax yourself as it well maintained with Good fixtures and gardening.

Room Tip: Try to take room facing poolside or beach side as it gives a pleasant feel.

I travelled with my family to Goa and stayed at Santana Beach resort from 30th May to 2nd June. I had booked the resort after checking out several reviews on Makemytrip and Tripadvisor, and I must say I did not make any mistake in choosing Santana.

From my perspective, the resort is an ideal place to stay for those who like to avoid too crowded places yet near the beach, and want to enjoy a leisure vacation without having to pay a hefty price. Check in and check out process was smooth. The rooms are clean and the guest does not get a chance to complain in any way. If possible, try to bargain for a room with a good view. The one I got was a bit on the backside with nothing much to look at from the balcony - though it did not matter much since I spent most of my time outside.

Everyone including the Reception desk, Housekeeping and Restaurant staff are well trained in handling guests in a polite and friendly manner. The resort also arranges for reasonable travel cabs with trusted drivers, so make sure to book your travel through the resort rather than having to hassle yourself with outside taxis who can sometimes over charge you.

The food in the resort is good. The morning breakfast was clean and filling. Before starting the day in summer make sure you avoid too much of tea/coffee and substitute it with multiple helpings of fresh juice that is served here - it helps in keeping your body glucose levels high. They also have two bars with a wide choice of cocktails for the evening, so a plus point there too. I did not have lunch or dinner in the resort, so cannot comment on that bit.

They also have a great shack restaurant called "Calamari" right on the beach, and it is famous for it's wide range of cocktails, multi-cuisine food and music. We found the taste of food more targetted towards foreign tourists due to less salt and spice in the food, so if you are a typical Indian spicy (teekha) food lover, you should try out another restaurant nearby called "The Curry House". But that's not saying the food in Calamari is not good - I personally enjoyed it and it's just a matter of choice about who likes what. Note - The Calamari shack restaurant is usually closed during monsoons, so check with the hotel beforehand on it's availability to avoid disappointment.

The resort has two swimming pools with one small and another of average size, which looked great though I could not take a dip because of our busy sightseeing and water sports schedule. But it's definitely recommended for those who prefer spending more time in the resort than outside.

Overall, it has been a fantastic and memorable experience for our family. When I come back to Goa next, Santana will definitely be on the top of my list of preferred hotels, provided I choose to stay in Candolim. Thanks guys, you have been wonderful! :)

Room Tip: Try to bargain for a room with a good view, if not exactly poolside.

Had a great stay for couple of days at this beach resort in candolim. Resort is located very close to beach and away from roads you can enjoy the peace, serenity of this place, food is excellent at in house restaurant and they also have friendly and helpful staff, bikes are available for rent at hotel you can hire one and have quite awesome time roaming the city. hotel is located at around 13 KM from panaji one can book a taxi or hire bike in panjim to reach this place. In all i can sum up as excellent hotel and great holiday destination.

Stayed in Santana in the last week of May, 24 - 30, and although it was sweltering hot we enjoyed every bit of our time. I did consider other places but finally opted for Santana because it has everything we could ever want in a holiday. Our room was very beautiful and clean and our two kids loved the pool or running down to the beach.

Breakfast here is great and the staff are very friendly and efficient. The property itself is so beautiful and allows you to lie back and enjoy. They have a good collection of books too which was a blessing for me.

This is really a perfect place to stay especially for families as it has something for the little ones and parents and we will surely go back when we visit Goa next. A special thank you to Alyster who was very helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for a suite near the pool which are perfect for families.

This was my second trip to goa. in my previous trip i had stayed in casablanca.i booked the hotel as per review of the trip advisor. good about the hotel was it proximity to the beach.Rooms were large,Staff was courteous. Food was average, very oily, the Service in the restaurant was pathetic you have to wait for 5 to 10 minutes for a waiter every time,Waiters do not serve water until you request them and that to after 15 minutes swimming pool was dirty, Cleaning of the rooms were not there for example i had ordered tea on 24th May morning from the restaurant the emptied cups were not taken away till the time i left the hotel by the Housekeeping and on reminding them i was told that as you had ordered from restaurant they will only clean and not the duty of housekeeping to take away the cup,.biggest drawback the hotel does not have power back up in the restaurant. on the whole it was an average hotel.
