we stayed at martins comfort from the 17th january for 2 weeks, there are lots of positives and just a couple of negatives................the b&b is in a great position obviously next door to martins corner but 10 mins walk from the most beautiful chilled beach with a great shack called Anris (we ate there most days and never has a bad meal) and 10 mins walk to the centre of the village to get your provisions. but if you walk past martins corner for about 5 mins you come across a couple of restaurants and a few shops, there is a restaurant called Fishka, which was our favourite by a far. their chicken manchurian sizzler is out of this world. the few negatives were the dogs barking at night. your fine if you get to sleep and stay asleep but if you get up thru the night it wasnt easy to find your sleep again plus the shower area needs to be tarted up it really let room down as the rest of the room was freshly decorated and well maintaned, fresh towels every day and sheets changed every few days too. the breakfast was a bit of fresh fruit or cornflakes with fresh tea and coffee and then your choice of eggs/porridge.....was ample but we did use the shack a few times as it was so lovely looking out to see.....and watching the dolphins if your lucky.on the whole was a good holiday. im hoping that the b&b read the reviews on tripadvisor as a note to them would be....1, the two lovely security guards that you have surely have names, it would be lovely for them to be called them rather than the very rude SECURITY being shouted when you want them.......and 2, all the staff were fantastic especially mangel and jose but there was one little girl that let the staff down and that was Agnes, she didnt look at you, everything looked like it was too much effort, never smiled and just gave the impression that she was just a little bit above herself. thanks for a great holiday.

Stayed in South Goa (Betalbatim) for the last leg of my vacation with an intention of winding down and the hotel does not let down. It is a pretty hotel tucked in the sleepy by lanes of the south. Food is good at Martin's Corner and Pentagon (towards Majorda). Margao is near for some shopping. Covered market (Gandhi market) at Margao is an interesting experience.
The hotel is a bit far from the beach (1km). The beach which is closest is named Sunset Beach. An evening there is a calming experience. However, there are just a couple of shacks there. No sun beds but just a expansive beach. Good for people who want to have a lazy walk alongside the sea.
I felt that the hotel pool could be a little cleaner. The service is good.
Overall, stay was satisfactory. However, if you are travelling with children, I would recommend a more active location.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are very well cleaned, the fridge was well stocked and very reasonably priced, the pool area was quiet and peaceful and the garden area was beautifully maintained. The staff were so attentive, special mention to Anthony for the brilliant towel art left on our bed every day! However it was Nazareth the hotel manager who really made our stay here extra special. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was so kind when I lost my bag on the first night, calling in the hotel owner and the Police to ensure it was taken seriously.
The beach is close by and the Resort is so nice and peaceful. Taxi's are cheap to hire if you want to head elsewhere for a more lively night out. We hired mopeds from the hotel to explore the area a bit more, highly recommended, just take your time on the roads! Make sure you head over to Martins Corner for amazing food and a fun dining experience, or order in room service if you are too chilled and relaxed to leave your room.
After two weeks, we came away from this hotel and holiday feeling relaxed and refreshed, and will certainly be coming back to stay here again. Don't hesitate to book this hotel, you'll enjoy every minute of your time here.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor pool view room

This was our first trip to MC and it most certainly won't be the last. We took the chance and booked for a month and we weren't disappointed. Customer service at this hotel is first class thanks to Nazareth and his staff. Everyone is on first-name terms and they couldn't do enough for us. All areas were clean and well maintained and rooms had a/c, fan and fridge. The small pool was perfect and most welcome after a hard days sunbathing on Sunset beach (about 15 min slow walk) and pool & beach towels are availble on request as are hairdryers. The laundry service is excellent value, and fast! 4-5 restaurants within walking distance, including the wonderful Martins Corner just across the road. Room and pool service is available all day, however, there is no bar, which would have been nice as a meeting point before/after dinner. Be aware of the woodwork shop next door, although it didn't disturb us. If you are staying from 18-25 Dec the call to prayer (1 blast from a canon!) can distrub you around 5am but the church was there before the hotel so can't complain! We will be booking again for Nov 2013! Thanks Nazareth, you and your team are all stars!
