One of the best restaurants I have stayed till date in any part of India. The best part of ADG was the location, cleanliness and the ambience and the way it has been maintained. Although the food quality was average (which needs a reasonbable change), considering the service, ambience and quality of stay, this can be ignored as there are loads of other joints in Goa to have a lavish meal. Must visit place in the Monsoon.

Room Tip: There were "Silver Fish Larvae" in WC of the Room occupied by me. It needs to be treated...

While they have made decent property, but nowhere close to Lila or Tajs of the world. Prices are no cheaper.
I guess they have forgotten that they operate in hospitality industry. They are RUDE to the core. You can feel it right when you enter the check in. House keeping doesn't respond. So unless you have spare money and time to spend on them, dont even think about it. Services are pathetic.

I read your review with dismay and sincerely regret that we fell short of your expectations. As you have not made any specific comments, I am unable to zero in on what caused your disappointment. However, I urge you to consider yours as an isolated experience and not typical of our standards. I hope that the other reviews on this forum will bear testimony to that.

In that spirit, we hope you will give us an opportunity to make it up to you, and look forward to welcoming you back some day.

This is a lovely property located in South Goa. The infinity pool is good and faces the paddy fields. There is some nice sunken pool furniture where one can enjoy a beer while soaking in the pool.
The rooms are very nice and modern with a small sit out and a garden outside.
The restaurants are average - however Martin's corner is just walking distance away.
There is a kids play room where one can leave kids with an attendant.
The only downside is there is no beach and no sea view. However there is a nice beach located close by and the hotel provides golf carts to access it.
I got an online deal on Expedia which was great and made it a good value..

One of the most beautiful properties we have been too.. Its not a very big resort but enough for a cozy romantic escape! The infinity pool overlooks the beautiful rice fields and beyond that are the coconut trees all around... so its very scenic and serene.
The spa was a delight, takes you some place deep away from everything and everyone.. beautifully planned.
Location of this resort is perfect not very far from the beaches. Although the hotel provides a shuttle service we hired a bike which is available right outside the hotel.. and explored the virgin beaches around. Bikes and taxi's are easily available outside the hotel. Small restaurants outside the hotel also serve good food.
Also there is a good restaurant called Martin's corner just 5 minutes from the hotel attracts a lot of young crowd, nice place to hang around. They usually have a live band performing and good food.

Food is good at the hotel, nice buffet spread as well. But not many options for in room dining, we asked for soup on our first night but they couldn't provide for they said its not in the menu, didn't bother to go out of the way and just make some. Also ordered for hot coffee once, they sent stale cold coffee and gave a lame excuse that by the time they reach the room it gets cold. If you call for biryani, you get only biryani.. no curd, salad, salt, pepper, napkin nothing. If you have a query regarding some services required we had to call several time to get an answer..

So we were not very happy with the service, but otherwise would definitely like to visit again in a few years.

Hotels! We hosted a wedding here and were incredibly impressed with the helpful and accommodating staff and efficient management of all our events! Every meal was enjoyable and the spread was great! Not to forget the spa which was absolutely divine! A big thumbs up!

I stayed at the Alila Diwa for two nights in April with my boyfriend. We were recommended this hotel by our friend so we chose this as a relaxing break away from our stay in busy Mumbai, where we had just come from. The hotel itself beautiful - apparently it is a typical Goa style hotel in the way it is designed and decorated, and in fact reminded me a lot of the beach hotels in Sri Lanka. After reading the reviews on here, we decided to stay in the Diwa wing. My 5 star rating is definitely as a result of staying in the Diwa wing - the Diwa wing is quieter, has its own pool, breakfast in its bistro is made to order (with a great selection from western and traditional dishes) and available until 7pm!!! That has to be one of the best things about this hotel - breakfast until 7pm. I am a massive breakfast fan, but to be fair, a lot of the dishes on the 'breakfast' menu could pass as lunch or dinner dishes. In addition to whatever breakfast dish you ordered, they also provided a basket of pastries and muffins. Needless to say, I loved the breakfast. While the main infinity pool is beautiful, the pool in the Diwa wing was quiet, had its own jacuzzi area, never short on sun loungers and generally a great place to relax. We had a Diwa club room and it was absolutely massive, had a huge balcony and an incredible bathroom - the most beautiful bathroom I've seen in a hotel, with a stunning freestanding bathtub in the centre of the bathroom.

I considered knocking a star off for the following reasons:
1) It is not on the beach, which is the main reason to visit Goa. They provide a buggy service to and from the beach pretty much whenever you want to go, so it's not inconvenient. We also knew it wasn't on the beach when we booked it, so I can't complain.
2) We had to speak to 3 or 4 different staff members (over the course of our 2 night stay) about our passports. We had travelled from Mumbai so we didn't have our passports on us - provided driving license as form of ID. One person said this was fine, the next day someone wanted a scan of our visas but not passport. The day after that someone wanted a scan of our passport. While it was pretty annoying being pounced on every time we returned to the hotel for another form of identification (and easily avoided by just asking in the beginning for scans of all forms of ID we've ever had ever), outside of this the staff were great so I don't want to knock points of for it.

Overall, this was a great hotel and given that we had our expectations set (on the beach and the quietness) from reading reviews previously, we were very happy with it. If you are looking for somewhere right on the beach, or somewhere in among all the action and nightlife and action, then this isn't for you. But for a relaxing time away from it all, with huge rooms, great service and a short buggy ride away from a nice quiet beach - go for it.
