I stayed here for 2 nights in mid-December 2013.
I paid 740 INR/night, which I thought was a good deal after evaluating some other options in the neighborhood.
I had room 106, which was a fan room with a neat little balcony overlooking Relief Road. The balcony was a nice place to have coffee in the morning, but the vehicle horn cacophony below only let up after 2am. I put earplugs in and slept very well, but if you are sensitive to noise you might want to ask for a room without a window like the other reviewers noted.
The attached bathroom had actual hot water in the morning and throughout the day but not at night. There was a small LCD TV with over a hundred channels available.
The front desk staff were very helpful and presented a comprehensive, straightforward itemized bill upon checkout (which is a civilized 24 hours). The room staff did their jobs well and did not troll for tips.
I took one star off for not having wifi available, which would've been a huge plus for me. It also would've further differentiated Hotel Balwas from similar establishments in the Relief Road area.
