“Perils of a religious journey”
Reviewed 7 January 2014

The spiritual beliefs take you to Byet Dwarka to seek solace in the arms of Lord. However you are shocked to see the mismanagement with people trying to jump on to the boats from Okha. We thought there is ample scope for improvement and ensuring the safety of ordinary folks. The temple is like any other religious places with each devotee trying to out do the other in catching a glimpse of the lord. You can find a number of priests trying to give you their version of the place. There is nothing authentic. Just a hear say of what mythology has been passed on to generations of hangerones. Over all just an average trip.

“Boat Travel in Sea is one thing you relish”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

Beyt Dwarak - believed to be residence of lord krishna and Dwarka was his office, this is the place where Sudhama met lord krisha...etc.,etc.,

The only thing you will remember of this trip is the boat ride from Okha Jetty to Byet Dwarka Island.

To reach byet dwarka first you need to go to Okha - Okha jetty and take a boat from there -boats are operated in two ways - common boat Rs.10/- per head one way and if you hire a boat only for yourself / family it will be anywhere between 1200/- to 1500/- two ways and this will be exclusively yours.

What to experience - Boat Ride from Okha Jetty to the Island, try those local automobile ride on the island at least a different adventure

Pros - Nothing much about this place

Cons - Jetty is one thing which is not maintained at all, no proper procedure to control the crowd, no proper parking places for boats, hope the authorities do something for this mess.

“journey more memorable than destination..but safety aspect needs attention.”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

Definitely an interesting and different experience .The travel in the sea more memorable than the island temple, which deserves further facelift. The boat ride to the island of Beyt Dwarka.. worth a visit. But there is no apparent supervision or regulation of the boat ride for the travellers.

“The Bet Dwaraka island temple of Lord Krishna”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

You go there for the Lord Krishna dharshan--but the less said the better about the short boat ride to the island where the temple is located. Totally disorganised, unsafe and uncontrolled loading on the boats--it seems the Lord is saving the pilgrims/devotees--not the systems or the people concerned !

“Worth an experience”
Reviewed 3 April 2013

I visited the place twice, the attraction being the temple situated in the sea and a big boat ride to cross the sea which makes it different.
Earlier we visited the place in evening and now in morning but both times I found that whatever be the time morning or evening, rush period or otherwise, the operators of boat create a situation and do not move till they overfill their boats. Actual situation could have been much better if they allow people to sit as per the capacity of the boat and move but both times inspite of a few visitors, they waited and overfilled the boats before moving.
The situation is dangerous much more for old and young ones and the same is not controlled by the authorities here even when it does not take any extra effort.
On other side as well, some autos try to cheat you while its hardly a small distance to reach the temple.
The entrance of temple could be made a lot cleaner as well.
