“Great stay!”
Reviewed 20 February 2011

very calm and plesent stay. certainly worth the money i paid. hospitality is one other part i was really impressed with. the best part of our stay was how flexible the hosts were. i got my check-in postponed without any trouble (just over an SMS!).
i would certainly recommend this to my friends and known corporates.

Here's an alternative to over-priced Indian hotels - a B&B that's a refreshing alternative, especially so in the (permanently) work-in-progress town of Gurgaon. If there's one word that characterizes Cinnamon Stays, it's Comfort. Don't expect luxury, gyms or pools, but you get to stay in rooms with individual personalities, eat breakfast and dinner around the dining table (home-cooked food from the open kitchen - no menus etc), have great service at your call, and best of all, enjoy the company of Manish and Shilpi, the couple who've put this together. When you leave the next morning, you feel that you've stayed at a friend's place...

My husband and I stayed at "Cinnamon Stays" for one night in January. We were allocated the "Doodle Room".
Cinnamon stays is situated in a suburb of Delhi in the Eldeco Mansionz estate, which basically consists of a group of service Apartments in Gurgaon.
The hosts were extremelly welcoming and friendly and made us feel very much at home, especially when we sat down for a delicious dinner and breakfast with them. We really enjoyed the traditional indian food (home made of course). They made us feel like we were almost part of the family. They were also very accomodating when we had to check in rather early one morning. We were also introduced to their son "Neo", who is a real little charmer.
We had high expectations of this homestay and the "Doodle Room", we found was extremelly clean and fairly comfortable. The bathroom, we found to be slightly average, but still had all that we needed.
The estate looks quite safe and secure and we had no problems at all with our valuables and such.
The suburb itself, we discovered a little less attractive, but it is out of the hussle and bussle of the city, so we were pleased with that. Not sure if there is much to do there. We basically decided to stay there as it was really close to the beautiful "Sultanpur bird sanctuary", which we visited twice. Excellent if you are a keen bird watcher (only 20-30 minutes drive away from "Cinnamon stays" ). This homestay suited us perfectly, although we do believe the bathroom could do with some renovating. Compared with other homestays, we found it to be slightly over priced for the actual level of accommodation. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at "Cinnamon Stays".

I am not a fan of Delhi and try to avoid staying there if possible. However, Manish and Shilpi, the owners of Cinnamon Stays, are fantastic. They make you feel so at home in their lovely neighbourhood and provide great, home-cooked meals. The location is not great for sightseeing but it is definitely a refuge for from the hustle and bustle of Delhi and worth any extra costs for transportation.

Lovely place to come home to at the end of the day. Owners were very friendly and helpful. gave a nice homely feel to the place.rooms were comfy and had a prettey good nights sleep.
Only downside was the metro trip to delhi which takes 30-40min by metro.
Still considered the place worth it and stayed longer than i had initially planned to.Looked at places closer to delhi and felt it better to stay in cinnamon and just put up with the metro.

A homely place for those far away from home. I travelled from Canada, and found my stay as if I were staying with old friends or family. The food was exactly how I'd imagine a meal at home would be like - simple, healthy, ample and delicious. Comfy rooms, clean washrooms, nice hot water for the shower. The neighbourhood is friendly - lots of people out having morning walks in the wee hours. After the dusty and looong drive through the crowded streets of Gurgaon, this is a lovely oasis of a place to hang out for a while. Will bring the family with me during the next visit. And I might visit the local pubs to taste the microbrew offerings the next time...
