the hotel is very good. This hotel is not located on the Mall Road, so there is no noise and very less pollution. The view from the hotel is very good. Food is a bit expensive but tasty. I must say that the staff is very very good. the only thing i found missing was fans. there were no fans at all and i felt the need of a fan because the weather is not that cool in the afternoon. But overall my experience in the hotel was very good.

The hotel is at the base of the hill where Hadimba temple is located. If you are fit, you can actually climb the stairs to the temple from just outside the hotel.the road to the hotel is narrow leading frequent congestions and honking but from the 1st floor rooms, you have a awesome view of the mountains. rooms are spacious. however the toilets face the corridor and so if there is powercut- it becomes completely dark. the rooms are fine but CRT TV's?????
Food (veg) is good but does not live up to its expectations in terms of non veg food. Power cuts are a problem. the hotel should have some power backup system.

This HPTDC Hotel is located not near the mall road, but near to the famous Hadimba temple of Manali. So, people who would like to spend their evenings at the mall should not select this one. But if one can walk the distance to the mall and wants to stay in a nice hotel at an affordable budget, then this is where he should be heading. And when it comes to breakfast and dinner (you have to manage the lunch elsewhere), nice food is served through a buffet system in a furnished dining hall. All in all, a fantastic stay.
