“Great place”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

Visited Beisaran valley approximately another 6000 feet above Pahalgam, on 29th June. 3 Km of Pony ride from Pahalgam. Sorry, No cab service. Marvelous ride though at times a bit dicey with steep rocky climb with the trained ponies negotiating the climb with their 4 leg drive, much to the consternation of the rider ! Spectacular views on the way, Srinagar valley and Pahalgam from up there is just awesome. Baisaran is a valley with snow peaked mountains all around. Just sit on the meadow grass and absorb Nature at it's beautiful best. What else can I say, I just witnessed how heaven would be.......

“Nice location”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

It is fun trip to baisaran from Pahalgam. A pony ride on mountains. Though it is little adventurous and might be scary for women/small childs. But is fully enjoyable.

View is also great , you are at the top of mountain , some 2km plain area and then all pine trees, snow capped mountains.....
Lovely place. One must go there whil eon pahalgam

“Its a nice picnic spot...thats it (nothing to be called as mini-switzerland)”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

- We hired ponies near our hotel and paid 1000 per pony after negotiation. The later in the day you go, the more discount you will get.

- overall you will need 3-4 hours of this place as the trek itself takes 45 mins and then you would like to spend sometime there

- Trek: there are some stretches where the pony rides becomes scary. we were with children, so it was a bit more scary. best option is to get down and walk for 3-4 mins to avoid such stretch

- There are some basic activities once you reach the place and nice picturesque location. A dhabha offers you maggi and all the usual stuff (at the usually high rates)

“A miss-not destination at Kashmir”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

The destination could be reached either by foot or by Ponies. The place is way beyond anyone can imagine. No wonder that this place is called the Switzerland of India. I would rather call this place the Scotland of India. Beautiful locale, green meadows, misty clouds descending on you from nowhere, tall pine trees all around, and a cool breeze pass right through your bones....you will not feel like returning back from that place.
