We visited Yousmarg while on a short trip to Kashmir. Initially we had planned to do Sonmarg but eventually decided to go to Yousmarg. This place is around 2 hours drive from Srinagar. You can also visit the Charar-e-Sharif shrine on the way.
The place is as said in the earlier reviews a mix of Gulmarg and Pahalgam. The drive is very scenic and we had 5 to 6 photo stops on the way. When we visited the weather was very cold with harsh winds. There are ponies available to visit various points and there is a bit hassle. But one thing I liked over here is they go by the rates on the board. You don't have to bargain here like at other places in Kashmir. Our ponies were very good and we eventually tipped the people.
We visited the Doodhsagar fall, it was ice eveywhere and the entire journey was good. The points can very well be visited on foot. One important thing is there were not many tourists around here which made it very pleasant to enjoy the nature.
Overall a good place to visit during your Kashmir trip
