I stayed at Dar-Es-Salam in July 2014 with family. The hotel is a heritage property with a lovely garden overlooking the Nigeen lake. All the rooms are of the same size so no large family suites.
You can ask for an extra mattress if you have a large family. The hotel has a "homely feel" to it and the food was excellent. Don't miss the Phirni Kheer !!!
They have a standard Veg/ Non Veg buffet but do not have an a la carte menu. So if you don't feel like having a buffet, you will be asked to visit the restaurant next door. We did not explore the restaurant.
We spent a lot of time lazing in the lawns enjoying the peace and tranquil. You can take a shikhara ride directly from the hotel. The hotel has a shikhara stand right in the garden, in case you feel like a shikhara ride on the Nigeen lake. Its a better option than Dal. We had a lovely time at the hotel and would definitely stay here again.More
