This is the monastery near Leh airport. Climb is also not much. The view of airport and leh town is very beautiful. We went in afternoon but it was told the sunrise and sunset views are worth being there.

This was the first monastery I visited in Leh and it was beyond my expectations. There is small entrance for it and the whole monastery itself is quite small as compared to the other ones in Ladakh. But its so serene and peaceful. There are quite a few steps to climb for reaching the top but the view and the feeling once you visit the monastery is worthwhile!

Yup , the monastery has got a wonderful Kitchen where they serve you tea any time you reach there , there they have got the fixed time where you can have the famed Tibetan Lunch ( I don't Know whether it is free or not) , And the Buddha statue is so gortesque.

This temple was situated on a hillock from where we could see the Indus flowing. Initially we didn’t realize that this was Indus. It was only when we heard the other tourists talking, we realized that this small river (this is what it seemed) is the mighty Indus!

As with most of the monasteries in northern India, to be there is to experience a serenity and hospitality unparalleled in any other place. Road access is good in dry conditions.
