My wife and I, along with our two kids (ages 6 and 4) spent 4 weeks at Laika's guest house, and we were all very happy with our stay there. The guest house itself is in a quiet neghborhood and is well furnished and elegantly and tastefully decorated. The rooms are of ample size and comfortable, and have easy wi-fi access as well as a TV. Everything is spotlessly clean. Being located centrally makes it the ideal place to stay for sightseeing and shopping. Breakfast is varied and delicious, including both Indian and western fare. Laika's and Ajith are warm and caring and absolutely wonderful hosts, who will go out of their way to help arrange anything, be it a visit to an Ayurvedic doctor or a safari at Bannerghatta Park. They are a veritable font of knowledge on virtually any aspect of Bangalore. For our kids, who were visiting India for the first time, the experience proved both memorable and enjoyable and they fact that they wanted Laika and Ajith to come back to the US with them is a testament to the hospitality and warmth that guests receive. I would highly recommend staying here and all of us have already decided that we will do so again on our next visit to Bangalore.

We came to Bangalore for a wedding and chose Laika's based on previous reviewers. Couldn't agree more. Although a bit difficult to find, this place truly is a gem and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. It's very comfortable, peaceful, and feels like home. Laika and Ajith, the hosts, went out of their way to accommodate us. The breakfast- amazing- gave us a taste of the local fare and was a fun time chat with Ajith/Laika to help plan our day. Bangalore can be a bit overwhelming. They know the city and had great suggestions. Wi-fi worked great, rooms were clean, always felt safe, mood was relaxed. The metro (currently only 5 stops) was a quick walk away and a nice alternative to the auto-ricks :) Hope to be back again soon!

We stayed in Laika Guest House in Bangalore more than 30 days with our family.
The house is very well designed, very clean, in the central area, in a so quiet place in the middle of noisy town. A peaceful corner surrounded by old trees and nice flowers.
The rooms are big and comfortable and the wi fi works very well.
Every morning we woke up with delicious breakfast, with Indian and continental food, served in a round table where you can meet nice people who pass from here for short or long periods. Unforgettable the marmalades of Martha, an American lady who lives with her husband near Bangalore and produces great jams and sauces.
Laika and Ajith are so kind and let us feel at home. They gave us all the precious informations to live Bangalore in the best way. Our children (11 and 14 years old) have been enthusiastic to spend their days here and every time we came back from a trip they were so happy to come back "home" at Laika.
It is difficult to accept the idea to leave this place became our Indian House. Thanks to Laika and to Aijith for all what the did for us.

Room Tip: All the room are very nice and comfortable.

Walking in gave me very positive vibes. It is beautifully furnished but not over the top. Rooms are comfortable. I loved the slightly rough granite slab floor in shower.
The hosts, Laika and Ajit, are warm and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. I really have nothing critical to say about this place!
It is not surprising at all that Laika Boutique Hotel has won so many Tripadvisor excellence awards.

I stayed at the Laika early February 2013. Ajith is a fantastic host. Nothing is too much of a problem. I loved the quiet, relaxed environment. My room was a good size and very clean. The food is excellent. Its in a great location close to the CBD and the main railway station. If like me you don't like staying at large, expensive and impersonal hotels then Laika Boutique Stay is the place for you. I highly recommend it and i will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Bangalore.
