I must have been put in the older building. The room was clean. Bed was hard but OK. Two twin beds pushed together. Air conditioning worked. No hot water in sink but shower was OK. Also equipped for a bucket shower. Had to ask for soap and toilet paper. Small towel, no wash cloth. No tea or coffee in room. The room showed a lot of signs of wear: water damage to the bathroom door, crooked light fixture, patched walls. Flat screen TV. Wifi signal was weak in the room. This place is OK for a short stay on business but is certainly no place for a Westerner to go for a nice experience. Restaurant food was just average.

Room Tip: Maybe the newer buildings are better.

Stayed at this hotel for a business meeting courtesy of a client. We were put up in what is called the new building. On the plus side: Big spacious room. Didn't require the air conditioner, because the weather was very pleasant. Beds are comfortable with clean bed linen. Staff is courteous and helpful. Bathrooms are clean with the towels being changed daily.

On the minus side: Hot water takes time to flow in the mornings. Even though they say free Wi-Fi and provide you with a password, it doesn't work. Managed by using my phone as a hot-spot.

This is a vegetarian establishment, so meals in the restaurants are vegetarian. This isn't the place if you're someone who likes to start off the day with eggs, sausage, etc. for breakfast, and chicken/mutton/fish for lunch and dinner. (Walk down the drive-way, and a minute's walk to the left brings you to Ramanashree Hotel, which has two restaurants, Parika (multi-cuisine) and Kudla (seafood), if you don't feel like having a vegetarian meal).

On the other hand the rooms are comfortable, ranging from budget to higher priced rooms (INR 1,600 non-AC, to INR 5,500 for cottages), there's lots of parking space, and the ambience is that of a old-world hotel.

Room Tip: All the rooms in the new building are quiet, since the hotel block is situated well away from the road.

The Woodlands restaurant offers a delicious, healthy and wholesome vegeterian lunch and dinner platter (thali). The food is served traditionally on a banana leaf. It includes vegetables and lentils cooked as per Karnataka cuisine requirements. The meal ends with and Indian dessert a fruit and paan (betel leaf and condiments). The ambience is clean and the staff are efficient in service.

A very popular place but very disorganized. This all vegetarian place is more like a cafeteria. Very busy and a decent assortment. Waiter staff friendly but rushed. Food is typical of the area. Good Dosas

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the 3rd week of November. The Hotel had done some good renovation work, and looks very neat and tidy. It has ample parking space, and a huge reception area. Food, though vegetarian only was excellent. The typical South Indian breakfast was great. The curtains in the room (607) were shabby and not clean and needed a wash or replacement, but otherwise the room decor was good. Location wise it is great as it has proximity to MG Road and Brigade road. Will stay here again.

Room Tip: Have a room facing the front of the hotel.
