“Robbers and disgusting management.”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

Very bad experience. We stayed here for one night. I booked through agoda and when we arrived there was an issue with the receipt stating only one person was staying in the room when there was 2 of us. I had already paid the chargable price for 2 people. We were charged over 600rp for the 'extra' person to stay in a TINY room with a the smallest bed we have been given in India paying more than any other hotel in India. The management was called when we disputed the alleged extra cost but they were rude and would not drop the extra charge. Then when we checked out we were charged 250 rupee for a plate that was broken in the breakfast room that morning which I had cleaned up. I have never stayed in a hotel or eaten in a restaurant that has charged me for an accidental broken plate. I am disgusted at the money grabbing displayed by the managers of this hotel and the way they delegate their dirty work to the staff is appalling.
Would never stay here again and would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

we went to bangalore to give and exam on apr 29th...booked the hotel through make my trip as it was offering cheaper....i called the hotel whether it is authentic or not, checked the hotel website...when i called the hotel ,he told me that the room cost was 2500+ tax...i asked him that mmt was offering for 1900..he told me to go ahead with mmt booking.. i then booked it for 1900.

check in was easy and the hotel person didnt charge me anything extra....i took a standard room...the room was very small with a large cot and bed...bathroom was also small...but manageable...AC was good...Lighting was very poor... we needed tube light for studying for exam...i complained to the hotel management.. he told that he will change the room..but all the rooms are similar...so we dropped the option and managed with the dim light....
breakfast was served from 8 to 10 .. but i asked to provide me earlier by half an hour..he agreed and provided me earlier...
i checked out 12 noon the next day... but asked him to keep the luggage. he agreed ... i collected my luggage in the evening 7 pm..
positive points-
1.service was very good
2. staff were very friendly
3. clean rooms
4. great location- walkable distance to brigade road circle, brigade road, garuda mall

negative points -
1.hotel look and premises outside arent good (construction is going on )
2. no gym , pool,
3. no restaurant (only breakfast was provided, restaurant under renovation....but there are restaurants on either side of the hotel - imperial and paramount with reasonable prices)
4. small rooms...(photos in the hotel website are probably enlarged?)
5.dim light

overall experience was good ,nothing to complain about... except low light..

if u want to enjoy little more comfort ,,,there are hotels like ocea international, park residency, with similar prices...other hotels nearby are iris international, monarch hotel , ascot hotel in brigade road.....

Room Tip: standard rooms are small..fits not more than 2..

I stayed at the hotel for two days on a business trip to Bangalore. The greatest advantage of the hotel is its location which is in close proximity to the major commercial centre in the heart of the city. The staff were very friendly and keen to help me out with various arrangements. It is a great place to stay for a short duration and would highly recommend it.

I Stayed at this hotel for 2 days in september 2012. Cost was INR 2000.00 (BB) per night, works out to about USD 40.
Booked the room online direct, (rainbowhotel.in) 10% was charged and Balance on arrival.

It's located in the city center, walking distance to shopping centers, coffee shops, bars etc. Using google maps was very helpful.

The reception staff speak English, the others can manage, but very helpful.
You have a choice for Breakfast continental or Indian. I had the continental it was satisfying.
I was on the 3rd floor and the wi-fi was very good. You can request for a broadband cable.
AC very good.
Flat screen TV with good sound.
The Toilet has no shower cubicle. So you have a wet toilet.

They have a 24hrs check in system.

Don't expect 5 start service. But the staff are very helpful and polite.
Overall it's a very good budget hotel, if you just want to leave your bags and coming back only to sleep.

New Ranbow Hotel is in a great location and has a knack for hiring excellent staff. The rate for our superior air con room was only 1900rps, cheaper than most of the budget listings in the Lonely Planet, and breakfast is included.

The are very accommodating as well. We were able to leave our packs there at no costso we could do an overnight trip to Mysore.

Note there's great Wifi in the lobby but not in the rooms themselves ( only broadband connection)

All in all a great experience :)

The new rainbow is a business hotel which speaks to its professionalism. Everyone we have dealt with has been very helpful and honest. They even woke us up when we were about to miss breakfast. The rooms are very clean and the staff was attentive if we needed anything. They also were kind enough to hail us a rickshaw and negotiate a fair price for us. Overall a lovely experience.
