“Shiva World Theme Park”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

Our group dubbed this Shiva World because it is so highly commercialized. It's an interesting cultural experience, but not for the reason one normally goes to a temple.

“Surprising”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Interesting place hidden behind a bunch of shops. Strangely beguiling pathway to a huge statue of Shiva.

“Not a bad find”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

This temple is hidden away. Had our driver not recommended it we would never find it. Quite something to see as it's amongst typical Bangalore buildings, but walking in and it's like you're somewhere else.

“Don't miss this place”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

This place is placed on the back side of the Total mall, so it is not visible from the road. And some people miss it because of this reason. When you enter inside, you will be surprised to see such a big statue of Lord Shiva and Ganesha placed inside. It is very peaceful and very neat and clean place.. On Mondays the folks there, they give you milk to pour over and worship lord Shiva .. You can sit there and meditate. Afternoons are preferable times to visit as there is no rush. You can take picture there and also photographers are there to capture your picture.

“Good place, highly commercialized”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

The statues of lord Ganesha and Shiva are very nice. It is very nicely managed. The only problem is it doesn't give the sense of a Temple. It seems to be more like a tourist spot designed and executed to gain maximum revenue. There would be folks with a small Shivlinga or Ganesha idol and milk so that they would collect money from devotees who would feel it sacred and the urge to pour milk on their favorite God. One would wonder why the queue is moving very slowly near Ganesha idol. No, not because they give extra time to devotees for praying. It's because behind the Ganesha idol a person would be sitting to explain them about the special path which would give them the feel of different Shivlingas and yes it comes with a charge. They even would ask for a charge to under the Shivlinga passage.
Having said all these things, i'd also like to inform that it is worth the visit.
