The hotel is an about 2 hour drive away from the airport - this of course largely depends on the traffic. At near midnight I made it in about 1 3/4 hours, although it is only about 40 km or so.

The hotel is quite convenient if you work in the south of Bangalore.

The rooms are, at least the one I had, apartment style with kitchen, a small living room and a eating table etc.
The kitchen is equipped with the usual stuff, such as microwave, refrigerator, which is used as the minibar, a toaster etc.

Bathroom is large with a walk in shower. Only negative might be the so called "rain shower" is not too powerful and the normal shower head has to be held by hand in order to get wet.

Beds are reasonable soft and comfortable.

Electric plugs are next to the bed and all other important areas. They are independent from the room key! Excellent - finally someone used the brain when designing the hotel.

Internet is LAN or WLAN based. It is reasonable fast and VPN, Facetime and Skype are working. It is chargeable, but you may want to ask the reception to include this in the room rate, they have some special "all inclusive" offers.

TV I did not try.

Breakfast is OK, but nothing to get excited about. However all the usual stuff is there, however limited.

The poolside restaurant is nice to sit in the evening and have a drink.

Usually I do not like to comment on the service, as this is heavily dependent on the individual employee. In this case, I must say that all the staff encountered was friendly and helpful, especially the lady of the front desk / office.

The front office staff in this place is extremely kind and cooperative. They are always smiling and after a hard days's work, when you walk into the hotel - it feels good to be greeted and acknowledged. They have also helped me in my requests for things that I needed.

The breakfast is a good spread :)

The in room dining is not only timely, but also delicious and the staff extremely courteous.

There is a scope for improvement for the housekeeping team, as my shower cubicle did not get cleaned on the first day. . .also, the basin in the washroom may be clogged as it takes some time for the water to go down. . .

This hotel is centrally located in Bangalore. However, since its located in residential area, most of the taxi driver and auto rickshaw dont know about the place.
My stay is great! Very nice establishment! Great service, and great food. Certainly will stay here again if i ever came back to Bangalore

I stayed at the Grand Mercure Bangalore for over 5 months and my stay could not be better. The room is extremelly comfortable, breakfast is lovely and the pool is fantastic. The crew was always very helpful and kind to us in every request and little thing we needed. If I ever go back to Bangalore, that is definitely the place I would like to stay!
