This hotel has large, comfortable rooms and the service is excellent throughout - housekeeping especially went out of their way to understand and meet my needs. So for the most part I was happy.
But let me join the long line of people reviewing this hotel to express my discontent with the electronically controlled lights. It is so much easier to locate and operate a mechanical switch in the dark. I had the same experience as everyone else, fumbling with trying to find the electronic console when I needed to switch on the light during the night. I also would have preferred to control the A/C with a simple up/down switch located on the thermostat itself. Honestly, the irritations of having this console outweigh he benefits.
Another tip: the hotel is located at quite a distance from what is considered the "happening part of town, where the trendy restaurants and bars are located. It was close to my work so it suited my purposes, but if you are coming for tourism, think about why you are choosing this location. One good reason is its proximity to the botanical garden. Just make sure you are in the right place for the things that interest you.More
