I stayed in the hotel for a week with my wife when we moved to Bangalore.

The primary reason for choosing the hotel was that it was very nearby to my work place. The hotel is located on outer ring road and hence public transport as well as any other transport is very easily accessible to move to any part of the city.

The room was a little cramped than what I expected, but overall the service is good. The options for in-house dining are very limited, but very good food outlets in the vicinity of the hotel, so need not worry about that. Our plan included the breakfast, which was very good and the staff is very courteous.

Over all, if you are just staying for the sake of it, this hotel works just fine for your purpose.

My wife and I had work very close to the hotel, and the Tripadvisor rating was good, hence the choice of Jamayca. We checked in close to midnight, but were offered a welcome drink, asked if we would like a bite to eat, and generally made to feel really welcome!

The location is better than what I had expected, from the description and the map. Not too far from Bangalore cantonment station, with very good access to the Bangalore International airport, MG Road, Brigade Road et al. The Outer Ring road on which the hotel is located also makes remote places like the Peenya Industrial estate seem not too far!

The decor - from the colors to the beer kegs and mementoes were authentic Jamaican. The hotel is owned by an Indian doctor settled in Jamaica, who keeps close tabs on the hotel.

Wake up call at 5:30 was with Tea, which really delighted me. Breakfast is served in a delightful small area which is great to read the newspaper and prepare for the day. The coffee shop has tasty snacks right through the day. Rates for the food are reasonable for a hotel of this type.

The size of the room was the only let down in this hotel. We had booked a Club room, and the wide angle photograph on the website made the room look much larger than we found it.

On the whole, it was a very enjoyable experience staying there, and I would definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the main road are quieter

It is a very good theme-based hotel. The environment in the lobby and the restaurant is very lively because of the color schemes and the Jamaican music. The food was surprisingly similar to traditional Jamaican food. Staff members are very friendly and it has been maintained very well for a 3star hotel. I recommend this hotel to anybody who wants a comfortable room, with delicious authentic food and a completely different environment from India. It was successful in making me feel like I was in Jamaica. Loved it!!!

Room Tip: Never judge a hotel by how it looks, because at the end of the day, customer service is what is most...

I have just returned from an 8 night stay at this hotel. The location was great for me as I needed to be just up the road from there. If you're looking for central Bangalore then probably not so good. I didn't get there but to my knowledge it's about an hour away with the traffic being as it is. As others have said, great breakfasts although it's best to let them know you like your coffee to start with otherwise you won't see it till you've finished eating - the staff are great. Very helpful and I found the service pretty impeccable. Rooms are fairly basic but adequate and are kept very clean. Bathroom good size and kept very clean. Comfy beds and good aircon. Far too many pillows and cushions but that's just a general hotel thing and I normally just end up chucking them to the other side of the bed except the one I'm using. Reasonable selection of TV channels once you've got through the 3 million Bollywood ones ha ha. Wireless connection does leave something to be desired however. They could certainly do with improving that. Well positioned for shops and restaurants, if you're brave enough to tackle crossing the main road. All in all though a great little find and at the end of the day it was a welcome solace from the chaos and mayhem on the streets. Good price and I'd stay there again certainly. Hopefully, this time next year...

Room Tip: I was at the back and I could still here the traffic noise so I'd imagine the front is pretty un...

This hotel is relatively cheap. A single room cost about 45$ w/breakfast. Needed something cheap so I can't complain much. Street noise is unbelievably loud. Rooms are in okay condition, lots of wear and tear although it's supposedly new. Food, not great. Not much to choose from. Fridge in room broken. Drinks served not cold. No hot water on demand, you have to call and ask them to turn on the hot water heater! Not the best experience. You could find something better.

Room Tip: get a room away from the main road. Good luck.

I stayed in this hotel 2 weeks. The rooms are reasonable sized, clean, bathrooms relatively big, there is a restaurant with acceptable food and a few other restaurants and shopping opportunities close by. For the price I paid this was definitely good value for money.

For a long term stay, the food, music and missing facilities can become an issue, but either for short time or for people on a budget that just want to sleep somewhere, I recommend this hotel.

You have to look over the dated look of some elements of this hotel ... but that is also one of the reasons why it is cheaper. The people are friendly and try to help whereever they can.

Room Tip: There is a big generator unit on top of the roof. This is loud. Also the front of the hotel is towar...

Decent stay, rooms are large and adequately clean, fully-furnished. Good A/C, other comforts. Most things worked fine. Helpful staff. Cooked to order breakfast included (If you ask for something besides the buffet) - Ask for a room on the back side-- the street noise from the front rooms (especially utility construction in early 2013) was brutal on the front end. Steam pipes erupting from 2am-5am so loudly our ears hurt.

Room Tip: See above-- request a room on the back side
