We were looking for a hotel close to Bannerghatta road, when we chanced upon this hotel on a travel site. Despite the fact that it did not have Three star hotel at two star prices

We were looking for a hotel close to Bannerghatta road, when we chanced upon this hotel on a travel site. We booked this hotel on a gut feeling and ofcourse the pricing. The hotel is located off bannerghatta road in J P Nagar, with malls and restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel faces a longish garden (its called mini forest for some reason), but none of the rooms face the garden we were told. The rooms are modern, clean and comes with a wardrobe, LCD tv, soft mattresses, gadget to boil water, coffee and tea bag kits and a bottle of mineral water daily. The attached toilet is clean with hot shower and the hotel provides toiletries and daily change of towels. The hotel does not have a restaurant of its own and the complementary breakfast is sourced probably from a local Darshini chain. This is however made up by the presence of MTR restaurant on the fifth floor and a MTR cafe on the first floor. MTR is a Bangalore institution that serves awesome south indian food and the best filter coffee. Our only complaint with the hotel was its service which could be a hit and a miss - though the staff was always ready to help with a smile throughout our week long stay we had to remind them daily to send a second towel for our double room. There was no prompt response to requests. Will we stay here again? Definitely, if we are looking for a hotel in the area. The prices, modern and clean amneties, accessibility as well as facilities nearby make it an ideal stay. One tip- book online through a site like Agoda - we got rates which were half the rack rates. reviews we booked this hotel on a gut feeling and ofcourse the price. This is a hotel in budget. You will get cheaper rates at yatra.com than at the hotel reception. Overall is good.. Only thing is that they don't have their own restaurant, though you can order anything you like.

I didnt like the idea of having reception at 1st floor.

Room Tip: all rooms are similar.

Situated close to Bannerghata Road, this hotel is well maintained. It doesn't have a restaurant on its own but gets food to room when ordered. Staff is helpful. Checkout using credit card payment during late nights may be a problem.

Hotel Grand Continent is a recommend place. I stayed with my wife and kid for 8 nights and found the staff to be very honest and helpful. The hotel has a very famous vegetarian restaurant on top floor which is convenient. Hotel location is great with 2 big malls nearby and there is a big park in front. Reasonably priced, clean, professional, value for money hotel.

We stayed their for a two day trip. (3 nights and 2 days)

Pros
- Nice location. Walkable distance from the main road.
- One Mall and shopper stop available near by, if you need to go and catch some fun.
- One of the hotel available for less price (compare to other based on travel sites)
- Breakfast taste was good. Converted two rooms into a dining room and providing breakfast there.
-Cleaning was done each day.

Cons
- The reception was not as expected. I don't call that as friendly
- Service: Once entered found that bedsheets was not clean and asked to change it. But no person came to change. We used our own bedsheets
- Service: Asked for water bottle. No body came. I went out and bought some water.
- Parking: No parking available for the hotel. They will just asked to park outside. (There is a park opposite and car has to be parked along the park)
- Cleanliness: Found cockroaches in the room .
