Owner description: The Neo-Dravidian-style Vidhana Soudha is the seat of the state legislature while the red Attara Kacheri houses the High Court. In 2005, an annex called the Vikas Soudha was inaugurated, designed as an exact replica of the Vidhana Soudha. Though these buildings cannot be visited, they can be viewed from the outside.

“Best visited after sun-down”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

Nothing to keep you hooked as you aren't allowed near the building to study the architecture but is an eye-full due to the architecture itself, esp'ly when lit by the soft neon lights. If u have people or friends who have a bit of a political pull, they can get you permission to go inside and don't u miss it if possible.
Stop by for a minute of 2 if your travelling along this road and enjoy the building as it looms into the evening sky and munch on the local roadside snacks (if your not too iffy about the traffic n smoke n the other blahs)

“Palatial seat of Karnataka legislative assembly ”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 via mobile

Though built in 1956 by then CM of Mysore (now state Karnataka) , this alluring, evocative building is an example of Neo- Dravidian architecture.
A must visit especially during Karnataka Rajyotsav ( 1 st Nov. ), when the building is beautifully lit and glorified .

“Beautiful Stone building and red brick building”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Vidhana Soudha is one of the best stone building in India and it is a proud place for karnatakans. The building houses the Assembly and this is the place where assembly sessions are carried on. During the sessions only people with passes are allowed to attend the sessions. But one can enjoy the beauty of the building from outside.
Attara Kacheri, a beautiful red brick building houses the Karnatake High Court. The building has two stories and one can enjoy the gothic style architecture. These two buildings are worth seeing and it is in the heart of the city inside a beautiful and famous CUBBON PARK.

“Nice buildings but not accessible”
Reviewed 31 January 2014

You can see them only from outside and trough the fence. Traffic around is very heavy so your drive just drops you and makes a circle around to give you time for some look. But there is not much to see through the fence. Still impressive buildings.
