“Beautiful Church, Dirty Surroundings”
Reviewed 29 November 2013

St. Mary's Basilica is a beautiful old era church. but its a pity to see that just outside the boundary of the church the whole road is stinking. heavily crowded area. No place for parking.

“Very crowded but still you get the peace after prayer”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

Very crowded atmosphere, both inside and outside. But the church stands tall, white and fresh. The Mary's grotto and the eucharist meditation center behind the church certainly have their power to deliver the peace you are looking for. The church is small, old with some great architecture. The chariot is displayed for atleast a month after the feast(September 8th) and is worth a watch!
The beggars all over is certainly a mood killer, though. Drive/parking is a big risk because of the crowd and traffic.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

I found that this Basilica is maintained well. The Gothic architecture is very prominent & adds to the beautification. Some carefree tourist make a big issue in churches & disturbs the peace & tranquility that prevails withn
