Standing tall in the whole area with a splendid architecture the abode of Mother Mary was a marvel. The serene atmosphere of the churh was quite soothing. The outside hustle bustle may be problem but its a definite visit.

St. Mary's Basilica is a beautiful old era church. but its a pity to see that just outside the boundary of the church the whole road is stinking. heavily crowded area. No place for parking.

Very crowded atmosphere, both inside and outside. But the church stands tall, white and fresh. The Mary's grotto and the eucharist meditation center behind the church certainly have their power to deliver the peace you are looking for. The church is small, old with some great architecture. The chariot is displayed for atleast a month after the feast(September 8th) and is worth a watch!
The beggars all over is certainly a mood killer, though. Drive/parking is a big risk because of the crowd and traffic.
