My partner and I organised a tour in mid-November after reading the reviews on trip adviser.

We had to arrange the driver and were very lucky with the hotels suggestion.

The beautiful Kaveri met us at our hotel and took us around the city. She carried an I-Pad with her from which she showed us scans of important documents or maps that related to the are in which we were. We stopped for coconuts, fortune telling and a parade in addition to the mornings itinerary. She'd nutted out a great spot for lunch and could even find an outlet for our week-old coffee withdrawals.

The afternoon was great following the itinerary loosely whilst just enjoying seeing interesting day to day life. We finished the tour at around 7pm and felt like we were locals. What a great experience.

I implore anyone travelling to Bangalore to get in touch with Kaveri. The price might seem high after travelling around cheap India but it is more than worth it.

There is a reason why the Bluefoot Culture Tour is the number one recommended activity in Bangalore. It is that good.

My wife and I were very fortunate to take this tour at the last minute, thanks to the wonderful organisation by the beautiful Kaveri. Kaveri arranged an early pick up and an all day taxi for us, and guided us through the first part of the tour taking in, among other 'sites', a washing village and Sikh temple. Her wealth of knowledge was limitless. Unfortunately Kaveri had to leave us but fortunately Rohan took over the tour and guided us through a slum, the thieves market and the meat market (Rohan, you need a stronger stomach!). Sadly, we only had their expertise and knowledge for half a day but following their recommendations we were then taken to the Black Magic Temple, City Flower Market and Bangalore Palace.

For us, the highlights were the Black Magic Temple (the sacrifices were truly fascinating, but not for the faint of heart, as was witnessing the apparent exorcising of demons from a person who was possessed - I could have stayed there all day!), and the visit to the slum, as described by numerous other reviewers. Special thanks goes to Rohan who organised for my wife to return to the slum at later dates, where she was able to help out the ladies in their valuable pursuit to improve their family's lives.

Highly recommended.

I must say after reading all of these reviews my expectations were very high. The team of Rohan and Kaveri still managed to exceed them. This is NOT a tour, but rather a highly personal travel experience. They tailor the time to your needs, sometimes on the fly! Both were highly professional, very knowledgeable, and people that I would now consider friends. Do not hesitate to work with them!

Our family used Bluefoot in July to explore Bangalore and we couldn't have been more happy with our experience! Kaveri was very responsive before and during our stay and had amazing ideas that were tailored to exactly what we wanted to see. We took multiple tours and each tour was approximately 3-4 hours. Our guide was Rohan Abraham and he couldn't have been more patient and full of information. Bluefoot makes you feel like a traveler and NOT a tourist. It looks like more trips to India are in our future and I would definitely use Bluefoot again! One last thing, we had our 9 year old daughter with us and if you are traveling with children I highly recommend Bluefoot as Bangalore can be very overwhelming!

If you are an avid traveler and are tired of the routine city tours that show you the highlights of the city, Bluefoot Cultural Tours is for you! The guides at Bluefoot take you off the beaten path, to the India that you've heard about, but haven't seen. Better yet, they tailor the tour to your interests - it is not a canned tour with regurgitated documentary on temples and city sites. It is a one to one interaction with the locals of India, some taboo, but all genuine and living their life in India. Our tour included a stop at a Black Magic Cemetary, a slum where women were learning a trade that will take them out of poverty, a sari manufacturer (won't complain any more about the cost of a sari - wow!), Washerman's Village (OMG! Laundry at its best!) the thieves market where stolen goods are sold (which by the way is directly behind a Catholic Basillica). Kaveri and her team will go out of her way to make sure your interests are represented in the tour you design. This is an absolute must do in Bangalore!
