This hotel is one of the first hotels near the airport while entering into the city. It is quite spacious while compared to most hotels in most busy cities. Bengaluru has its own problems of traffic, but once inside the hotel, you can have your peace of mind. The Lalit Ashok has an outdoor pool and has lush greenery all around. The food in their rooftop restaurant Oko is fantastic. There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The check in and check out was smooth. Staff here is excellent. Didn't get to try the Indian restaurant, Baluchi, but it did have a rustic look and I can say that the menu looked interesting. There is a tennis court also hidden inside the property which I was fortunate enough to use. It was complimentary for room guests. About location, this property is also close to the city centre such as MG road and commercial street. I will surely visit again.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the pool are larger. It is worth the additional money paid.

This hotel has so much going for it - a great location, good rooms etc. However this is totally marred by a absolutely dismal service levels. Not only does the staff respond to your issues, they actually seems to imply that you are to blame for them. Never going back to this place for sure nor any other hotels of this chain.

We stayed In the Lalit Ashok from January 23 to January 27 while attending a conference. The hotel is located in a secure area close to downtown. Transfers from the airport are arranged at a reasonable cost. The Rooms are large and well-appointed. There are many good dining options in the hotel, including Indian, Asian (with an outdoor rooftop bar), and Continental. Room service is available 24 hours per day with no surcharge. On a negative note, the hotel was VERY noisy until 11:30 p.m. due to a party for Bangalore Fashion Week. Hotel car service is very good. However, on two instances, were taken to small market stores (with very high prices), rather than to larger stores in shopping centres.

By far the best service I have ever encountered. Really brilliant staff. I arrived early in the day, no rooms were ready (as you would expect), but they offered me to use the Spa to freshen up and have breakfast, and got me a room real quick.

During the rest of my stay (2 days for conference), the level of service remained consistently at that very high level.

But weird management decisions. I was there for a conference, and at the same time, there was another meeting for a fashion outfit. They got to close off a good part of the hotel grounds for their private functions (which is already not really on - it should be all or nothing), and then played music in the evening until past 23h so loud it was actually hard to have a skype conversation in the room.

And no free WiFi, which is, as I always say, totally unacceptable.

I would give five points for the staff, but the management policies/decisions deserve a "terrible" notation.

The restaurant was good, but not cheap.

I stayed while on a business trip to India. My room was clean and reasonably appointed although a refresh will be needed soon. The staff (front of house and spa) were polite and friendly. I did find the service in the restaurant used for breakfast to be quite poor which detracted from the stay.

I arrived in this hotel on a business trip, alone and in an unknown and new city, I was welcomed like a regular, the staff constantley making sure I was attended to and that i never had to wait or remind them to do something for me, the business centre was excellent, providing internet access in my room etc. the resturant was well managed and provided a wide range of food, the gym, pool and barber again had no faults.

My second stay at Lalit was again simply 'Superb'...fantastic service, great rooms and real value for money. Front Office guys are extremely pleasant & courteous. Great breakfast at 24/7 Coffee Shop amd mouthwatering Kebabs and North Indian food served at Baluchi! For Sushi lovers,OKO Pan Asian serving Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese & Japanese cuisine is a must try!
Great tennis court facility & nice swimming pool just next to the coffee shop...and the massages in SPA are extremely soothing & relaxing.
But what stands out is the hotel lounge which makes it distinct from other 5 star hotels.I will definitely recommend The Lalit to my friends and family as well!
