If you're looking for a hotel in Bangalore, smack in the middle of the city, close to the regular haunts at MG, Brigade Road, UB City, then look no further. We stayed at Museum Inn for a night and had no reasons to complain. Pick the Museum Inn for its location and non-fussy interiors. The staff is relatively helpful and allowed us to check-in earlier than the stipulated time. The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but clean and you will be well looked after. Like most hotels, they throw in a buffet breakfast, which has a decent spread. The best part of this hotel, there's the Empire Hotel, just around the corner, the only eatery in Bangalore that is open till the wee hours of the morning.

Room Tip: Since the Museum Inn is on the main road, you might want to consider a room that doesn't face th...

I stayed at Museum Inn for just one night and the overall experience was satisfactory. The room was clean though the bathroom fittings were a bit old. The buffet breakfast was good and they allowed me a late check-out with no extra charge. The location is excellent and it is a value for money place to stay

1. Well located hotel...............off MG Road.
2. Rooms well furnished............but size of bed small for a person taller than 6 foot.
3. Food is good with the famous resturant..........."Bamboo Shoots" underneath.
4. Staff is good.

First the nice things.

The hotel is well-located. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.

There are restaurants and a late-night juice bar very near.

And then it's all downhill.

The street is a backstreet but it is not quiet. The neighboring juice bar is packed on weekends until the wee hours of the morning, and it's an all-male affair so women will feel uncomfortable. On the other hand, it's just the local kids have a juice so it's not in any way dangerous and there are police right there anyway.

The street is often full of trash.

As for the hotel, well, it is pretty worn. The lobby is dark and in need of paint and in need of less rummage-sale style furniture. The reception area shows quite a bit of dirt and age with worn and dirty woodwork, and other hints at what lies ahead in the rooms.

The restaurant was poor. It seems clean enough but the breakfast buffet was quite limited and a number of the hot items were stone cold. The eggs-to-order section was never staffed and there was no table service for tea or coffee.

The room, oh the room! My oh my. I had a pretty nice one according to the reception but it reeked of mold and was quite musty. The sheets were a little thin (not too much nor the worst I've ever seen) but didn't seem like they could be white again.

The pillows were lumpy and the odor of must was overwhelming. The flooring was worn away in parts, the walls somewhat dingy and paint sorely needed.

I felt itchy all night and unclean all night and hardly slept.

The bath was beyond imagination. Creaky, thin plastic commode seat, cracked and moldy tiles in the tub, unappetizing shower head... ugh.

As for business-level standards, good luck finding an outlet! There were about 3 - 1 in the bath, one for the tv, and one for the kettle. The one for the kettle (btw don't look inside the kettle) seemed a good choice but none of my 9 different foreign adapters would fit in it.

I unplugged the tv and tried that outlet. Sparks (!) flew and I didn't want to risk frying my computer. That left the bath. And it worked!

As if this wasn't enough, this place is by no means cheap. In fact, it's pretty expensive by US standards and doesn't include internet nor much in the way of perks. You get a half liter of bottled water (you can't drink the tap water) per day and that's about it.

Suffice to say that I won't be staying here again despite the pretty pictures of it online.

Room Tip: Stay at another hotel.

I have stayed here for more than 10 nights. i used to like the hotel for its close proximity to my work place. well the food is good. but what misses out is the service. the front desk staff is very arrogant and demanding. the room linen smells poor. only respite is food as BJN group is known for food choices. i strongly recommend to say here only if you are desperate for a budget value.

We booked this hotel directly through phonebooking. This is the second time of my stay in this hotel.

I normally prefer this because i feel an excellent hotel having proximity to all the major business offices.

The interiors of this hotel suits a professional person

The service and hospitality is the best part. The room is very neat and clean with all facilities.
The hotel is located at MG road , th best location in Bangalore and lot of places for shopping and food nearby.

The best part is TAVERN bar and restaurant at top floor in the same building.
The food quality is very good with lot of variety.
