Zostel Kochi
Reviewed 18 February 2014

This was our suggested accommodation for our extension while our visit to Cochin, as our original place (Green House) was full. Just simple, but ideal and very good value with good continental breakfast and, above all, a great host, Mr. Kumar.

We loved the location, as well. Check out the chilling views from the upstairs terrace.

Great place with great value.

Everything about this homestay is fantastic. Kumar the owner couldn't be more helpful. We had so much correspondence with him prior to our arrival as he was trying to sort transport for our onward trip even after we were due to be at another location in India which was very reassuring. He was still trying to sort this for us once we had moved to our next location and phoned us with an update. What service!, most places once you have gone that is it. Kumar walked us round cochin so that we knew where best places to eat etc were. We left our ipads in a bar and had to go to the police station to report. When Kumar found out that my husband had gone to the police station he went along without being asked, even though it was late at night to help him with the process and possible language barriers. The breakfasts are great and all the staff are so helpful and accommodating. I would have no hesitation in returning to this homestay and would certainly recommend to fellow travellers. Kumar certainly is the epitomy of hospitality and customer service. It is a pity that more hotels etc don't do the same. Great location give it a try!

Daffodil ticked all the boxes for a few days acommodation in Cochi. Clean, cool (chose A/C) and comfortable room situated close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Simple breakfast at a shared dining table was included.Easy to pick up an auto if going further afield.
Kumar was very helpful with all requests, including recommending good places to eat, arranging taxis to and from the airport and other destinations and finding a place to stay in Munnar. Really good host.

Daffodils is a great place it stay, it is clean and Kumar was extremely friendly and helpful. Great location as it is situated off the main square. Some of the hotels by the nets are noises and grounded. Daffodil home stay is only 5 mins walk away from the nets.
We stayed in a non ac room and this was fine for us. The room has hot water and a powerful shower. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony. It's truly beautiful. Very good value for money!!

Daffodil is a beautiful homestay- clean, quiet and with great facilities including hot water, amenities and a lovely wraparound balcony. The owners are kind, honest and helpful. It is a little hard to find but the location is great- close to everything but away from the noise and smells of the main roads. Would definitely stay there again!

I can only echo other positive reviews of this place. Spotlessly clean. Ideally located in a quiet part of the Fort area. Kumar is the perfect host - very helpful with his advice. He can arrange airport pickup for Rp 1080. It's about 40km and takes around an hour in traffic. Good breakfast each morning, and friendly staff.

This homestay is pleasant, and clean, and has efficient and friendly staff. We had a small room, with a clean bathroom (but no hot water). The balcony is very pretty.
Kumar the manager is friendly and willing to give directions, advice, and travel suggestions. The wifi signal was very weak and did not work
upstairs in our room. Overall, the Daffodil was sufficient, simple and safe!
